Tire Pressure

What is the correct tire pressure that would be ideal for every day driving using Sumitomo's 255x45x18 DD bullits.
I'm sure everyone has a different opinion on this subject but unfourtunately, the sidewall info only gives the maximum load pressure of 51psi.
Any help on this matter would help.
Thanks!

Alot of it depends on the car and tires. I have 265/295 Sumitomo IIIs and run about 35.5 in them. Not long ago on here someone had the idea to run some chalk arcross the tires, drive about 100 feet, check the chalk, if the chalk is still on the tire in the middle and not on the outside, you need more air pressure (maybe vice-versa), repeat untill the chalk wear evenly across the tire. I need to remember to do this sometime, only have to do it once to figure out your optimal pressure.
