Nitto NT555's anyone have?
Hey all,
I'm no longer going to use DR's on my car, it's just not safe for daily driving with all the rain we get here. So I want to buy new tires all around and I wasthinking of going with the NT555's 245/45/17 in the front and NT555's 315/35/17 in the back. Anybody using these and what do they think of them and how do they look? |
I had them on the Cobra for awhile Christie and thought they were pretty good.Ran them on the front after I bought the DR's.

I would go bigger than a 245/45/17 on the front though.

No.. my fronts are still the factory stock 17x8's thats why I was just gonna put 245's back on there.

awesome, thanks for posting the pics, they look great. I ordered mine yesterday so we'll see. I just hope they're alot safer than my worn DR's in the rain lol.

what size rims are you going to run??? if you run 9's in the front go with the NT555R 275/40-17 would be best fit for the 9's...if you got a 10.5 in the back run the 315/35-17...buddy of mine has those tires with 17x9 in front and 17x10.5 in back with a bullit style rim deep dish and it looks damn good

= crap... there is no difference in the nitto's in the rain vs whatever you were running/are running.
i've been stuck in the rain way too many times with my nittos on and have been forced to drive about 5-10 mph because i couldn't stop from hydroplaning. i have 3.55 gears and 8.5.1 compression my bottom end = crap so you can understand not like i was being stupid and hydroplaning ya know? plain and simple any DR/Street Radial in the rain will always be dangerous.. part of the problem can be the amount of air you have in your tires, i put a little bit more while i was running around town and then down to like 20ish on the track. but like i was saying, i have had Nitto Street Radials and MT street radials and the MT are 100x worse you still get better traction in the heat. anyways, you wont get any safer street radial, all pose their dangers while in the rain. |
yea i got them on mine and love them
