You could probally fit a 295/35/18 but a 285/35/18 would fit alot better.A 305/35/18 would'nt fit right at all on a 18x9 and would wear wrong and bulge like crazy.

okay, yeah im currently running 275/35/18 Kumho Ecsta MX's, but i need to step up to a drag radial. The only reason i was asking about going that big is because i have heard that Nitto runs super small on their sizes. Nitto doesnt make a 295, so that leaves me with the 285/35/18??

wow, a 275 would be the widest tire i'd ever put on a 9inch wide rim. a 275 tire bulges a lot on a 9inch rim.

from bout 2 other forums ive talked to guys and they said nittos run rediculous small. they told me that their 305 is about a 275-285 of say a bfg. I actually talked to a guy who did the exact setup as me and he said it fits fine.

I've had them in those sizes and they are a tad bit smaller but not that big of a difference.A 305 will not work on a 18x9.

You should put on the size that will get you the best traction.

17x9 rims with 315's
then those are the skinniest 315's I have ever seen. they are more like 275's.

my 315's on my 10.5 inch rims bulge more than those in that pic.

my nitto 315's fit flush with the rim so they do run small.

no, 10.5" rim. they will bulge on the 9" rim but it shouldnt be that bad. i also ran a 275/40 nitto DR on a 8" rim and they didnt even bulge that much nearly fit like stock.

yeah ive been hearing that guys are putting 275's on 8" wide rims no problem. One guy i even talked to said that BFG told him that 275's will fit fine on 8" rim. Thats why im leaning more towards the 305. Just an fyi, for the 555R's my choices are 285's or 305's...no 295's are available

^welp, theres another one. I'm running a 275 on a 9" rim now so i dont see how i couldnt put on a 305, one that runs small at that. I guess all this talk means nothing, i just have to try it and see how it looks.

And your point is? People do stupid stuff on the internet all the time. Just because the tire fits, doesnt mean its your best choice.

I'm just saying i had about 5 guys on here and other forums saying they fit 275's on 8" wide rims, and about 3 or 4 guys saying that they have put 305's, hell even 315's on 9" wide rims and ive seen pictures and it looks good. Nittos run small.

Who cares how it looks. Putting a tire thats too big or too small for a rim will give you poor traction. If thats what you want then go for it.
