I am getting a set of Chrome 03 Cobra replicas but I can't choose between 18x9 or 18x10.5 rears. What would you guys do? Got any pics? Thanks!
BTW, if I got 18x9 would I need a wheel spacer to set the tire even with the fender? |

I recommend wider rims in the back becuase I think they looks better. Right now I have 9 inch FR500 rear rims and am buying 10 inch rears when I get new tires in a month or two. You will need a spacer to make the rim even with the fender with the nines (unless the backspacing is different from mine).

It all depends on the tire you want to run on it. I have 18x10 on the back with 295's. If you want 275's or smaller, 18x9 will be fine. If you want any bigger (295, 305, 315), i would go with an 18x10[.5] so your tires don't look funny.

Some advise... 295's + 10.5" deep dish wheel + Mounting= PAIN IN THE ASS!!!
If you go with this set up, be prepared for a hell of a job.

1. The tires are very wide with a small side wall making them impossible to flex.
2. The only way the tire will completely go on the wheel is to push the tire beed below the deep dish of the tire. Because the tire does not flex easy and the dish is so deep makes it a pain to get the tire on the wheel. We practically needed to bend the tred side of the tire in half to mount them. But it eventually worked ![]() Also, balancing them was another story. I think it was something like 5 ounces on each wheel for them to be balanced. Unless you are familiar with mounting, I would rec taking to a tire place.

My tires must run wide becuase my 275s bulge out alot more than that on my nines.
