Wheel Spacers!
Getting straight to the point, how wide? I think one inch would look great, but is there still enough bolt to screw the lug nuts on safely? I know there are ones out there that bolt on and have there own seperate bolts for the wheels. Any help or advice would be great.

1" looks hot. steeda has them here:
http://www.steeda.com/products/1_inc...el_spacers.php Maximum motorsports also has some too. |
Anyone got any pictures of these? I'm probably going to buy them for my rear tires after i lower it.
|
pics needed :D
|
One inch is the way to go. My girlfriend bought me 1.5'' spacers a long time ago and it was too much. I didn't use them.
|
why not just save up and actually get wider rims and tires? ...wheel spacers look like you are trying to fake the "wide tire look" IMO.

Well I think 275's are pretty wide, and i think a wheel spacer is a cheap and easy way to have them stick out a bit. My tires are brand new, and my rims are only 5 months old. Why would I buy new?
just a suggestion. didnt have those details when I typed that. but, a 315 is quite a bit wider than a 275 as you know, and will stick out in the "right" way if you catch my drift. no biggie, I was just throwin out an idea. |

anyone know if most wheel spacers are known to ware on rims unevenly or and cons/pros about em? cuz im lookin to buy maybe these http://www.americanmuscle.com/1in-bi...l-spacers.html soon so i wanna know about em a bit thx :P Also if u find a better pair or somethin leme know plz
|
I see that americanmuscle.com sells 1 inch spacers, but they have a note saying they will not fit factory rims...is this true, because half of the product pics have stock rims on them? I have an 02 with the factory rims, i wanna keep the factory rims, but widen out a bit more, the 1 inchers would be perfect...what if any reason is there for them only working on aftermarket rims?

I have 1'' spacers on the rear and stock on the front. I love it. |
spacers??.....i just see skinny wheels. not fooling anyone, and makes a mustang look like a FWD...lol
save your money, get some wide wheels. |
^ if everyone could do that or wanted to spend the money on it, they wouldn't make spacers.

they make spacers because people buy them....using spacers to move wide wheels out, to give a better look is cool and does look good(opinion). however if you are trying to give the impression that you have wider wheels then you are wasting your money. it does not fool anyone. i am sorry, but anyone can save money and buy wider wheels.....it may take some longer than others, but it is possible. |

It doesn't matter what's possible. Anyone can buy a supercharger but for some people that would be retarded. I drive a V6 that I'm not going to keep for years and years. It would be immature and ridiculous to spend thousands of dollars on wider wheels and tires when the ones I have now look fine and work great. The spacers just make the wheels look more flush because Ford decided that my wheels needed to kiss my differential. Everyone deserves to have an acceptable looking car and spacers are an easy way to do it.

I take it wheel spacers just making your wheels stick out farther? I wonder if my tires and rims are okay. I posted all the information about them from the paper work I have in my last post.

i love that ford build thier cars in a way that allows me to put fat rubber and wide wheels on it. you prefer skinny wheels spaced out wide, like an import....i prefer big, wide wheels...its just my preference... spacers are not a substitute for wide wheels, they do not give the performance or look of wide wheels and tires. |

I don't have money to throw at wheels and tires. The spacers make the wheels I have look flush, which is a hell of a lot better than tucked.
Not to mention that putting big heavy deep dish rims mated to high rolling resistance 315's or so, which look sexy and grip like hell, would slow a sixer down too much. |

i got oem machs with 245 45s. I considered spacers.. But the reason mustangs have that tucked in look factory is because the back end is designed to put big ass tires on there.. But i think with my 245s i could do spacers and it not look bad. but where can u find a 10in wide mach 1 style.. i dont like bullets or fr500's.

Will these spacers fit the stock mustang wheels? http://www.steeda.com/products/1_inc...el_spacers.php
