Default will these fit?

i was in a car accident and wrecked my 18x10 deep dish bullits and have come to find out that they are out of stock for 6 months... my only option is to purchase the 18x9 bullits to match the front but I think I'm going to have to buy new tires for them, I have sumitomo 265/35/18 on teh front but 285/35/18 on the back...even though I don't think they will but just making sure...will these 18x9 rims fit on the 285/35/18 tires? here's a link to both...

The largest width tire that can safely go on a 9inch wide rim is a 275.

nah a 295 will fit on a 9". It will buldge out a bit but you will be alright. i had a 295 on a 17x9 rim and it worked out fine

yeah it will fit...but if you read what i wrote...SAFELY fit. I run 275's on a 9inch rim and it bulges out right to the limit you'd want for looks and handling/safety. There is a difference between what you can SQUEEZE onto a rim and what is safe to put on a rim. I've been mounting tires for almost 10 years now and I've seen what happens when to wide a tire is put on a rim width it is not meant for. tire roll over is not a good thing.

Thats just barely beyond the limit...yes you can do it...Im not doubting that at all..but there can be a hazard during VERY hard cornering with a tire that wide on a rim that size.

Just an FYI, we should be getting the 18x10s back in stock in May. I know it's still a long ways off, but at least it's not 6 months!

Sorry

THe body shop I took my car to said that they called u guys and whoever answered told the body shop that the machine that formed the deep dish bullits had either broken down or was being updated and that they would be out of stock for at least 6 months... so you are saying u will be getting the 18x10 deep dish bullits in may? cuz that would be freakin sweet

on the widest tire subject... tires have 3 big components, the bead, the sidewall and the tread. If you weaken one even a little by doing things to it that you're not supposed to, like bulging the sidewalls out till hell won't have it, will eventually result in a catastrophic tire failure and all the fun that comes with such events.

The largest tire you can safely run on a 17x9" rim is a 275. Yes you can get away with 295's on taller rims but that's due to other factors. The point is, each tire is designed to be run on a specific spread of rim widths. Exceed or underrun that and you'll be at risk.
