Need recommendations...

I'm looking for some recommendations for brands of tires. I am getting 17x9 cobra rims and I know I'm going to get 275x40x17. For the tires I'm looking for some good all season tires because its a daily driver and I'm in college in Marquette Michigan which gets a lot of snow so i need something that will do at least decent in the snow. So if any of you have use your mustang as a DD even in the winter with snow any recommendation on what tire I should get would be appreciated.

i live the the great mitten as well. I have two sets of tires, a summer set and a winter set. for winter i have dunlop winter sport m3's, these tires rock in the snow but they are pricey. i paid $175 each, but they keep rear end from kicking out and i dont worry one bit when it gets real crappy out. for summer i have some general exclaim uhp tires, they are pretty good, but i only paid $90 a peice for them so i dont bitch to much about those.

cool thanks. Anyone else have any ideas for an all season tire? I'm trying not to get any winter tires only because I don't need them. When I'm in Illinois which is most of the time I don't need them since the roads aren't as bad in Illinois than they are in Michigan. So basically I just want to try and just get one set of tires.

One of the best tires you can get if you're on a budget is BFG G-Sport. Should run you around $125 a tire in your size, I believe. They are a summer performance tire, but have a deep tread and I'm sure many use them as an all season tire. If I ever need new tires and want to save some money, I 100% plan on getting these.

If you really want the best "All Season Tire", one that is actually designed to be all season, well you only have 9 tires to choose from on tirerack.com.
The absolute best that many swear by is Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. It'll run you $282 a tire in 275/40/17.

If I were you, go with the G-sports and that'll due.

Also, I too have Dunlop Winter sport m3's, and they are AWESOME
