Staggered wheels
Well my plan is 17x9 up front and 18x10DD in the rear. I need some tire sizes that will compliment this. Im goin with Nitto 555r tires. Need help on picking the sizes. i was thinking P305/45R18 and P275/40R17. how would that look? Do i need differnt size side walls or what. I really suck at picking tires out :(
|
That's alot of sidewall for the rear!!
I'd say 255/40/17 for the front and 315/30/18 for the rear.I would'nt go taller than a 35 for the rear!! |
If they don't make a 315 in the 555's go with a 295/35/18.
|
The problem im having is finding the sizes i need in tires. Like one brand will have the front but not the rears and vice versa. What are some good brands you recommend. This is my DD i see the track maybe 5 times a year.
|
I found some bf goodrich Gforce T/A KD in the sizes i need. I guess i will go with those.

for the...
Rear Tires:BFG Drag Radials in 315/30x18 or the BFG KDW2 in 295/35x18 Front Tires: BFG KDW2 in 255/45x17 or BFG KDW 275/40x17 you can tell i like the BFG tires huh?haha if u wanna stay fairly cheap...Kumho ECSTA MX 295/35x18 (rear) 255/45x17 or 275/40x17 (front) if this confuses you at all...just pm me and i can help you out...personally i would go w/ the 295 series tires cause they are street radials...not drag radials |

Well im goin for the staggered look so i need 17 in the front and 18's in the rear. I also need a tire that will hook well on the streets. Since i will be making a decent amount of power down the rd. on order already is my MMR shortblock good for 900hp. My goal is 650hp safley for dd. I will get that from the help of a KB SC.

you might want to do BFG's Drag Radials out back if your makin that much power. |
I can find my rear tires easily but everyone keeps telling me i need a 275 for the front but i have trouble finding them that will match my rears.

Very True i could run the 275/40x17 KDW and run a set of 315/30x18 drag radials out back.
