Cool Slicks!?!?!

Hi guys i need to run slicks on my stang. I am considering mickey thompson draglite wheels but don't know what size wheels to run on an 02 GT or what size mickey thompson slicks to run on the draglites. I know nothing about tires and wheels so be specific (measurments, sizes etc).
THANKS

I am assuming you mean Weld Draglites. For slicks, most people run either a 15" diameter, 8.5" wide, 5.5" backspacing, or a 15" diameter, 10" wide, 6.5" backspacing. Tire width to match. Diameter is USUALLY 26", but some prefer 28" tall tiers, depending on thier setup and gearing.

Before you consider slicks though, you need to make sure the rear is built...especially if you have a 5 speed. One false move on a stock rear end with slicks and you'll be getting towed home. at the very least you want a 31 spline diff with some good moser axles.

That man speaks the truth. I wont even be running slicks, but before my car even gets the Mickey Thompson Dr's on it I will be installing Moser 31 spline axles, and a 31 spline detroit locker tru trac (not a full locker, works just like a stock diff, but no clutches to burn out), and some 4.30 rear gears. With these gears, and the spray I HAVE to run 28" tall tires or I would run out of gear by the end of the track.

The rims sizes Mike gave are dead on
