Question What size tire for my 06 GT

I ordered from mustang tuning a set of 18x9 front and 18x10 rear for my 06 GT.

I have steeda ultra springs to lower it.

I am thinking about ordering 255x35x18 for the front and 285x40x18 for the rear. Is this a good choice? will the 285's fit ok. I want to go with the Nitto tires as well. I know the sticky says 255-45-18's but why the taller tire on the front?

Discount tire has so far good prices on them. Has anyone dealt with them?

Thanks

got my wheels and tires ordered. Went with the consensus and got 255-45-18 for the front.

good choice

i wouldnt have a gap for 55's in front then 40's in back...it would look wierd...get the same for the front and back or thicker in back

i would go 295 in back

Default went with

285's 40 in the back.

so it is kind of staggered....but no rotating the tires then.

Several sites recommended this set up. I thought about the 295's but the price and limited availability of brands shut me down.

I have heard nothing but good about the Nitto 555.

We'll see

Thanks for your reply
