Lowering spring kits
Ok its time to lower my car and it looks as if u buy the springs with the shocks and struts all in the kit. My question is if I don't race my car would it matter what brand I buy? I feel comfortable with this kit: http://www.lethalperformance.com/99-...on-kit-p-30685
It has the drop I want and isn't crazy in price. Anyone got something else in mind that isn't going 2 break me in price or will this do? |
eibach is decent...but why not go with Bilstein? I really like how mine handled when I needed it and rode nice at the same time. Just a thought. The springs will make a huge difference in how the car handles/rides. I went with H&R Race springs, and the ride was on the rough side as far as spring effect goes.

Price! The whole kit from Eibach is less than the Bilstein shocks and struts cost with no springs. I know that most of u will say Bilstein is the best, but I just can't spend close 2 a grand 2 lower the car.

why not go with....
http://www.stangmods.com/Maximum-Mot...V6-p/01230.htm I know the price is a bit more than what you listed. That is what i am currently looking at getting. |

That is what i am currently looking at getting. thats what I bought for my (now Evan's) GT...I never used the CC plates. Never needed them. But rkaz...you get what you pay for, and if you plan to keep your car for a long time, dont skimp any on the suspension for your application. |
should be a great kit. Look into caster camber plates. You'll want them. Maximum Motorsports is all I use.

MM stuff is the best IMO as well, I think you're the one who convinced me of this fact years ago. As for the CC plates, I feel like, you either need them or dont. Assuming rkaz isnt doing any autoX or road racing, if he can achieve alignment specs that are in spec, then he wont need CC plates for his application. But at the same time, they are nice to have, although I never did use the set that came with my grip box kit. |

If you dont X or race a set of bilstein HDs from MM would be awesome...call them, tell them what you do with the car, they can get you right where you wanna be. What is your budget? |
$700 is bout it. Tax money goes quick when all ur credit cards r maxed.

well if yur cards have a balance still, you really shouldnt buy anything. but MM has an Eibach kit for $640, springs and shocks/struts |
Ford Racing Handling Pack. When I got it, it was $500 shipped and it included everything. The drop was modest, but compared to the Eibach springs I had, the handling vastly improved.
