Tokico is a very reliable, and reputable company. I wouldn't be too worried about using thier springs. I use Tokico dampers. What I would advise is that you buy my H&R springs. https://mustangboards.com/mustang-cl...ings-isos.html
/shameless plug.

410? there arent any cheaper than that around?
meh havent seen them around my area. but then again most people in my area of ohio have nothing outside of stock..
looking around i guess that the 410 is a decent deal actually.

INtZ 09-28-2009 09:53 PM

yeah 410's a deal, i priced out tokico struts, shocks and h&r springs on AM and it come out to almost 600(free shipping)

Solid deal for a good street setup with out to much of a drop so speed bumps and steep driveways won't be a problem.

:( my bad.

my other concern with these springs was if they didn't do a noticeable drop.
I really wanna get rid of that big gap between the fender and my front wheels.
but yea i don't wanna scrape my bottom with a 5" high speed bump either.

spike_africa 09-29-2009 05:56 PM

Car won't be slammed but is a good compromise between being low and being able to DD drive over speed bumps etc... My car is around 1" all the way around and is good enough for me.

mine dropped just about an inch all around with eibach pros and new isolators. not a huge drop but definitely noticeable and much better than stock. even noticeable to "non-mustang" folks . i looked at the tokico springs to go with my blue shocks/struts but didn't get them because i couldn't find any hard data on spring rates to compare to other brands and then i got the eibachs pretty cheap off ebay .

i'd bet the tokico package will work very well for you

i've been looking around on ebay and i found this oem cobra front springs.
would they fit on my v6?
i like the height of my rear just the way it is buy the front is like 1/2 inch taller.
what do yall think?

TNell 09-30-2009 09:28 AM

you could just pull out the lower isolators on the front to see if you like the look/ride. that's free except labor (not hard to do yourself either) and if you don't like it you can just put it back like it was. you'd probably get 1/4-1/2 inch drop. i think some guys pull all the isolators out of the front and don't have any problems.

thanks for the offer but i cant afford them right now.

Yea i couldnt find any info on tokico springs

I found eibach pro front springs with their isolators for 60 bucks shipped and i ordered my tokico hp's ! we'll see how that goes

K.G.B. 10-08-2009 07:26 PM

so i found some front eibach pros with new isolators
and i got my tokico hp coming in tomorrow.
is it a bad idea to drop the front only with the eibach pros?

Mr. Zip 10-08-2009 08:53 PM

^ It could be. If the springs have different rates.

TNell 10-09-2009 08:30 AM

i think the reason you can find front springs pretty easily is from guys converting to coilovers on the front. but if you decide later you want to change just the rear springs to match the front, you'll probably have a hard time finding just the rears for a good price.
