Quit talking in ALL CAPS.

What are you learning in your dad's car? How to drive? How to race? What?

Cant just put in new shocks and expect the car to handle amazing. Will want a stiffer spring rating and some shocks/struts to match. Should also look into stiffening up the body with some subframe connectors and sway bars. Don't rush this. You'll want to do your research before you jump into buying stuff. Find out what will be best for you.

Dude it seems to me that the only thing your car needs is a DRIVER MOD. Every driver needs to learn the limitations of their car. There are also certain things you need to know about aggressive driving too. I would be willing to bet that when your trying to corner hard you haul *** into a turn and stand on the breaks to TRY to maintain controll around the curve. This is a big no no. When you do that it causes most of the cars weight to transfer to the outside front tire wich HUGELY affects how the car will feel through the rest of the turn. A lot of times it can cause you to lose controll all together. You need to learn how the weight will shift in a turn and how much your suspension will compress while your doing it. Keep your foot off the break and stay steady on the gas (dont floor it) but gentle acceleration through the turn. If you wind up a bit too fast and losing it in a turn, this will allow the rear end to step out and slide while still leaving you in relative controll. It would look like a drift really just prolly not as smooth.

Take your time bro, driving like that can get you or a lot of others killed or injured. Im not saying to never have fun with your car, hell we all do it from time to time. Just be smart about it. It wont happen over night but you will learn.

you're trying to learn on the wrong car and on the street... both are plain silly. You need to seriously consider taking a high performance driving class or getting some mentoring from your local SCCA auto-cross group. You will ******* kill yourself if you don't know how to corner in a car with big torque (comparatively) and rear wheel drive and you go ripping through the twisties thinking you're Parnelli Jones.

You steer cars like these partially with throttle and braking inputs as you approach and then pass the limit of traction. Done properly it's terrifying, fun and fast as hell. Done wrong is normally a good way to wrinkle the car up pretty bad and get a fast-pass to your own funeral.

Usually if you google racing school with your state you can find something. They've got some kick butt road course, and oval racing schools here in Colorado. They used to have an open wheel performance driving class that I've heard good things about too, but when the economy tanked so did that.

Look up the SCCA website and search for your region and area, there is bound to be a group close to you. I know in my region we have two driver's ed or student events a year where we ride around with newbs and help them out.

Gosh, you guys are patient...from reading the posts, my suggestion would be to the kid's dad. That is, take out a multimillion dollar life insurance policy on the kid, then hand him the keys to a Cobra stang, along with a bottle of bourbon, wink, and say; "have fun, son."
