quick question
would stock 03 cobra springs be any lower than stock v6 springs at all?
and would the rears work on a v6? |
A little maybe, but they would'nt work on the rear at all.

Look in my sig for everything, but the springs are H&R SuperSports. I left the iso's out to give it a tiny bit more of a drop. It won't be to the point where your scraping everything on the road. Only difficult part can be gutters and speed bumps. If you go past an inch drop I strongly suggest getting C/C plates and shocks/struts. You gotta decide what you wanna do with the car before you play with suspension. Is it just for looks, track, autox, etc..?

crap that means more than i thought i would have to spend lol. its really just for looks. its stock except for a cai so im not going to be taking it to the track or anything. would just an inch drop even be that much of an improvement tho?
Lowering the car an inch definitely looks good, but if you're doing it for looks I'd personally go lower. To give an idea of what it looks like dropped an inch, heres Spike's. He's a drag whore and this was the best set up for him at the strip. Bullet springs with bottom iso's taken out I believe: http://www.notyouraveragescene.com/p..._JsbAe-M-1.jpg |
wow...i still have the stock 16's so just an inch might barely even be noticeable lol. i dono if i wanna go as low as you because i'd like to have a little extra ground clearance. maybe like 1.5" or somethin like that. i dono, its gonna be awhile before i get to this point anyway.

Heres a list of $ that I put into it: H&R SS Springs- $235 MM C/C plates- $188 Tokico Illumina Shocks/struts- $360 Alignment- $50 Installing everything yourself will save you a lot. Also check out ebay for the shocks/struts, you can find some killer deals on there. |

Cost is variable. Depends on what kinda deals you can pick up and what all you decide to go with.

Lol yeah like I said, shit adds up real quick. You could just pick up some springs and ride on the stock shocks/struts for awhile till you have money for the rest, but know that you are working them harder than there designed for and will go out quicker. A lot of ppl do spring installs first and get some shocks later on, so it's always an option. I personally just decided to do it all at once and leave it at that, won't have to worry about it later down the road.

Lol np man, good luck.
|
my best tip is get springs and cc plates at the same time.
|
Yeah if you are going to do it on a budget. I would get springs and Caster camber plates first. You can do the shocks/struts later when they are worn out. Also if you search you can get your springs used and cc plates used too. I paid $50 shipped for my bullit springs new from someone who sold their car and never installed them.
