HELP! Bullitt Suspension Kit - Tokico shocks
 

Guys,

I know this must be a real stupid question. But the stock shocks have bushing both in the trunk area and on the top of the shock as it goes through the wheel well. The tokico's dont line up right with these bushings and when I dont install the bushings, it absolutely does not sound right! Please help explain how the Tokico's from the Bullitt kit are supposed to go on.

EDIT for further info. I had some Monroe shocks installed last year to replace the factory ones, is it possible that service station that did my shocks used different i and retainer nut and isolators than what comes from the factory from ford? The problem Im having is if I install the Tokico shock with the isolator and shock mount currently on the car, there is no way for the retaining nut to bolt down. Basically the isolator are too thick for this shock.

Well, I pretty much figured that the Tokicos arent going in without the factory isolators form Ford. Im guessing the service station I had my rear shocks done at last year put their own set on.

However, now I have an issue with the LCA. It looks like I may have stripped the bolt - it spins on both ends and I can take the nut off - but I cannot remove the bolt. The LCA acts weird when I jacked the car up - it just seems like its hanging there - thus Im thinking there is a weak connections between the LCA and the axle (as in I didnt tighten the bolt properly). Any suggestion how to remove this bolt if it is in fact stripped?

Well the first problem is because you need to push the rear end up to get the shock to stick up higher to get the bolt on. So thats problem one for you. The bolts for the lower control arms are like you said held in with a bolt with a nut. All you have to do is remove the nut from inside the frame and the bolt will come out. If you got the nut off then it isnt a stripped bolt. You just need to get it out,

Are you supporting the LCA w/ a jack when you are trying to remove the bolt? If you are, then give the bolt a couple of wacks w/ a hammer. That should get it out.
