Need help with Springs/shocks/springs/CC plates

I have a 98 GT coupe. I just put a new set of 20" wheels and tires. 245/35/20 8.5" front, and 285/30/20 10" rear. The car looks awesome, I am debating if I should lower it or not. I like it the way it looks! Since the new wheels are higher than stock, I've noticed the ride quality is bit bumpy. What set of shocks/struts/springs should I buy If I decide to keep it the way it is or if I decide to lower it? Do I need CC plates.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

José

the ride is going to get worse if you lower it. and since you have 20s you better get ready for the fames.:flamed:

A friend of mine has 20's on his 95. If you thought a stock mustang looked like a 4x4, think again.

Show us some pictures. Those wheels probably fill out the wheel well pretty well already.

shocks struts dilemma

I just price a set of Tokico HP/w spring $349 and a set of KYB GR2 shocks/struts only for $179. Which are better for my application should

Get the Maximum Motorsports CC plates if you do. They are well priced and excellent quality. They really ease the task of alignment too.

and they are very easy to install

From your pictures it looks like about a 1" drop would be great for it. You might want to look in the the Ford Racing Bullitt lowering kit. It's a .75"-1" drop and a great value, comes with springs, shocks/struts, and swaybars.

i agree with the 1" drop and the FRPP (bullit) kit. with those big tires any more would be too much. and you probably won't need cc plates wwith that small of a drop. but they are very nice.

you seriously need to polish up those headlights too. there's lots of info on here about that
