so...i was wondering if there is a way that i can eliminate the weird side to side motion when ever i go over bumps during even the slightest amount of cornering. it has happened ever since i bought the car and i think its about time for me to fix it and really upgrade my suspension instead of just a Pro Kit.
so i was thinking: Maximum motorsports Race Valved Bilstien Shocks/struts Front and rear Adjustable Coil-Over kit Tubular Front K-member and A-arms Built Cobra IRS with all the bushing upgrades and half shafts eventually also: MM Pan-Hard Bar MM Torque arm is this a good route? r3d..what do you think? im not going to be pushing more than 300hp and it will be also auto-x raced.

I don't see how you could go wrong with that set-up. But I don't know if it will eliminate the side to side motion you described. If you get a IRS, I don't think you will need rear coil-overs, or a PHB, or Tq Arm. I would like that have that as a list of possible things to get.

IRS replaces PHB/TA and I would NOT go there with a GT if you're going to put it on the autox course. It'll frag the IRS in no time. I spent over $3K in repairs to mine when I had it and I only drove it on the street for the most part.
To just eliminate that side to side wiggle all you need is a PHB from MM. Add coil over to the front and rear and you'll handle twice as well as before with proper spring and shock selection. Race valving is BAD for street cars. I'd start with the MM sport valve which is still pretty stiff. I use them. The TQ arm is fantastic and changes the cars feel 100% from the 4-link. I'd start with the PHB and decide if you need more rear grip or more rear control. If you're not able to keep it on line with the 4-link then the TQ arm may be right for you. You could also try a Watts link. It'll handle better with a tq arm and watts link. I think Global West makes them for Stangs. If you want to discuss your specific car and needs at length I suggest we take it to AIM/YIM so I can respond in real time. You can find me on Yahoo IM at cburnss. If I'm on you can ping me.

ok..thanks r3d..
i will scratch the IRS and keep my Solid... its going to be mostly street driven but im going to be racing much more than i have in the last 2 years with this car..im also going to be racing against my buddies 06 GTi with full coil overs, chip and bigger turbo adn another buddies 350 z with twin turbos and a full coil over. i am already at a dis-advantage power wise but i plan on doing my suspension first so i can get the hard stuff out of the way, and breaks, outta the way. one more thing.....should i step down my gearing? i have 4.10s and the top of 4th is about 105 miles per hour...should i go with 3.73?
