should i go ahead and get C/C plates too?
i plan on getting these lowering springs http://www.americanmuscle.com/h-r-sp...ngs-96-04.html . should i go ahead and order C/C plates too? or can i do without them? or wait a few weeks to let the springs break in then see?

Yes you need CC plates and shocks as well. It wont be long before the stock ones blow out .

after you lower it, get an alignment and see if its out of spec. If it is get CC plates, if not, dont worry about it. I bought a set and never used them because my car was well within spec after I lowered it.

another good shock/strut option is Tokico Illumina or Bilstein. I'd get the illumina.

Edit: In regard to you actual question, It would proably be best to go ahead and get c/c plates. Even though I just recently went through installing the same springs, I can't say if they are absolutely needed becuase I installed c/c plates at the same time. When I went to get my alignment though, they didn't even have to adjust my caster or camber becuase I got it back so close to spec. I'm sure If I didn't have the c/c plates they would have had to adjust the stock plates, probably to the max. |
