Default Iso remove help

i split one rear lower isolator and want to take both lower ones out.

how do i decompress the spring to pull them out?

You dont have to compress the spring. Just put a jack under the control arm and lower it. I would not bother to remove them unless you are going to replace them as its about 1/8in diff if one is missing.

i forgot to mention the reason i asked about compressing the spring is becaue i cant get the lower shock bolt off it ef'in tight as hell

get some PB Blaster tomorrow. spray the shit out of the bolts and wait 5 mins. take your wrench and racheting wrench and it should come loose with some muscle

already did that i wasnt kidding its well and truly stuck...
so far pb hasnt worked for me it also did not work on the lower screw holding the IAC i even used my skill power drill and it started ticking....i have bad luck i guess.

You need a shade tree mechanics impact gun. Get two box end wrenches and line them up on either side. Get a hammer and it would be good to have a 2nd pair of hands,have someone hold one side while you with a hammer give the other wrench good short solid wacks. You can also use leverage with two box wrenches if you put them together, open end goes in the closed end of a bigger sized wrenched.

remove top shock nut, quad shock, sway bar. Jack up and support car at the frame. Sit on the brake rotor so the axle dips down on your side and jerk on the spring. It'll come out...especially if it's a aftermarket performance type spring.
