tie rod...
how the hell am i supposed to get the tie rod out? i took out the cotter pin, unbolted it...and tried and tried to get it out (not being easy either). it wont budge. any help?

pickle fork and hammer...or pickle fork insert for an air hammer. borrow from parts store if you can.

Yep you need the tool just made for that. Its a fork with a wedge shape so as you hit it with a hammer it will pull it apart.

its a 2 prong fork you can pick up at any parts store just ask for a tie rod fork and youll need a big hammer to smash the biatch!

got the springs in with out taking the tie rod off or using a spring compressor. i just used the jack handle and compressed it with support from the a arm. omfg!!! the stang looks freaking sweet. i have a .5 inch clearance coming into my driveway (has one of those neighborhood gutters)

If you would of mentioned that you were installing springs I would of told you that its not necessary to remove tie rod. Glad that you didnt go through the trouble.
