Blown gt

Hello all! I just recently installled a KB charger to my stock 00 GT convertable and in some serious need of traction. Was thinking of new springs all around and the MM rear grip package. The car is all stock cept for the charger and I mostly drive in town or the freeway. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Price range around $1500 would help!

you cant got wrong with MM. call them and tell them what you got and what you want to do with the car. they are very willing to help.

springs are going to help traction unless there drag springs which i have a clue arent for you. I would just get a set of lower control arms and a set of Drag radials will have you hooking up hard in no time.

torque arm is the way to get all the traction you can. I have one... damn are they worth it. LCA's and PHB will help quite a bit but until you change the place where weight transfer starts you'll always be limited.

redneck are you talking about a torque arm box kit for the lower and upper.

no... I'm talking about converting from the crappy 4 link that ford gave you to a long arm 3-link with either a watts link or a panhard bar. It basically deletes the two upper links to your rear end and replaces them with one really long arm that connects just forward of the X in your X pipe.

It allows disgustingly efficient weight transfer under accel and increases rear grip during braking which makes larger rear brakes much more useful.

Before my torque arm I could just roll into the gas and ROAST my tires in 1st gear. Now to get a spin out of them I have to wind it up and dump the clutch... just stabbing the gas doesn't work due to all the added traction. If I just jump on the gas the car moves forward like you shot it from a rifle.
