How bouncy is the rear of my 93 GT supposed to be?

Yesterday, while I was tinkering around with my 93 GT, I was thinking about replacing the shocks/struts in the near future and noticed the front was very stiff, good? The rear was really, really bouncy. Is the rear supposed to be that bouncy? If not, what's a good shock or strut, (since I haven't looked to see what's back there yet?), to stiffen it up a bit?

if any corner or hemisphere rebounds more than two times from a hard push down then the dampers are hosed.

You'll need shocks for the rear. I recommend Tokico HP's if you're springs are stock to mildly more aggressive than stock. Illuminas or Koni's or Bilsteins are better if you're using a high rate spring like FRPP C's or H&R super sports.

Thanks again man! I believe you have answered just about all my questions here lately? So, I plan to upgrade everything on the suspension this fall, maybe summer. What struts should I use in the front? I know I said I didn't want to lower the car, but if I do, what would be the closest to stock heights springs I would need? The Bullitt springs? Also, do those springs work with the struts on the 93's?

if you decide to do a simple lowering I'd think about calling up maximum motorsports and getting one of their grip boxes (starter box or street/strip box would be a seriously good start). From there, they'll be wanting to question you at length to set you up right. I'd also see about replacing either the a-arm bushings or both a-arms entirely. It's really the cheapest and best way to go in the end.

I emailed Maximum Motorsports and told them what I was looking for, so maybe I won't have to come back here, with these constant questions about suspension mods?
