I'm sure this has been addressed many times but, I looking for recomendations on LCA's and the need for UPPER control arms right now I can't plant the rear end, I know LCA's are in the future what brands are reccomended and do I need Upper's money is not a problem so I don't need the el cheapos
Next question how difficult is the installation, it does seem that hard I'm mechanically incline but recent had rods in my back, if there is any tips or tricks please advise |

all lower boxed control arms are the same. Get the cheapest that are boxed and have polly bushings. Install can by done by one person in ruffly 1-2 hours its a simple matter of unbolting then dropping them down one side at a time (so the spring doesnt fly out) and then installing new ones and jacking them up into place.

Well what exactly are you looking for in a LCA? How much power are you putting down? What are your 60ft times? Is this a street/ strip car, mostly strip, DD?

I think the best bang for the buck control arms are from UPR.

the best arm is going to depend on your specific needs. Since you're having trouble planting the rear end I'm going to guess you hit the track regularly and you want better launches on an improved surface.
I'd generally start with a set of Maximum Motorsports drag race RLCA's with adjustable spring perches, poly front bushings and spherical axle end bushings. A MM panhard bar, a set of subframe braces (any ol') and a set of boxed FRPP uppers. You can get into adjustable uppers but it's really more hassle than it's worth unless you already know how to adjust them properly for a particular effect. Oh yeah... and answer 03GTmustangs ?. |
