Opinions Needed on Steeda springs
 

I need some springs and im leaning towards steeda or H&R sports, but i dont want that big of a drop. Steeda claims 1"-1.25" drop on there springs and thats perfect for me, but I dont know to much about these springs. Anyone have them and love/hate them? And hows the ride quality?

I have them and the drop is perfect. You won't be dissappointed if you chhose to go with them for yours.

I have them and i would definitely recommend them!! Awesome quality and a nice drop. I have over 40,000 miles on my springs and never have had a problem.

Don't want to hijack, but those of you with the Steeda Sport Springs, is everything else still stock? Like shocks/struts, c/c plates? I'm also considering either the steeda or h&r sports and just want to know if I have to change anything else if I go with the steedas? My car has 29,000mi on it.

normally you'll want to upgrade your shocks/struts when installing lowering springs...it'll be only a matter of time before your stock shocks/struts might give out.

i have steeda sports and nothing else as far as suspension goes.. been this way for 20k miles with no problems. ride quality is the same as stock. h&r's do provide more drop though

I changed the springs/shocks/struts/CC plates/X2 balljoints and Cobras brakes all at the same time, so I can't really say how they would act seperately.
Geesh - Steeda was loving me that winter........

cc plates will help with alignment. You'll have a much easier time finding settings that don't whack your tire life. Shocks and struts are recommended or you'll be underdamped and you won't realize near the potential of the new springs.

I've had Steeda sports and liked them for what they were. Good springs, reasonable drop, decent ride.

I have them, along with Mach 1 shocks and struts, and I love them. The handling, and the ride isnt too bad. I would however STRESS that you get new shocks and struts AND an alignment. My car ate up my front tires over a year of having the springs and no alignment. :( Also, go for GOOD shocks and struts the first time, it will save you time and money over the long run. Ive been thinking about coilovers lately though...hmmm

coil over is sooooo worth it. It only costs a little more but what you get for saving for that extra couple months is just unbelievable. better ride, lighter weight, better handling, quick adjustments (without tools)... etc. It's made me regret ever having spent a dime on conventional springs.
