you do a lot of drag racing? or do you like the twisties more?

I just installed Bilsteins and I love them, the car hugs the corners beautifully

If you take out the carpet in the trunk (sides) you will see the screw you need for the rear.
here is a pic

thats at least how it is done on my 04...shouldn't be too different on your 98

If you are looking for a replacement that is just a little better than stock, I would recommend the KYB GR2 shocks and struts. They are very inexpensive, I think mine where like $200 for all 4 on ebay.

I just put on mustang tuning springs and the GR2s with UPR lower arms, and replaced the eibach springs and stock worn out shocks and struts.

It rides much better and handling is a little better, it sits higher than the eibachs which I like for driveability, it doesnt look as mean but still sweet.

But if you want the best of the best get either Bilstein, Tokico Dspec

If you want a basically stock replacement get the GR2 or Tokico HP

bilstein are the best in my experience for general use street cars that see some strip time or road course work. Tokico are better for cars that see more drag time. Koni are usually pretty stiff but equally as good.

bumpy? in what way? jarring? or bouncy like you hit a bump and it takes a couple rebounds to settle the car back down?

important distinction as you may be trying to fix the unfixable.

What springs are you putting in?

bouncy, hit a bump and it takes a couple rebounds to settle the car back down.

as for springs like all three of these. the first 2 i like because it doesnt lower it a whole lot. im just worried that the ride would be harsh once i put in springs.

you'll probably do best with something like a Tokico illumina strut/shock package and the h&r sports. The drop isn't too radical and the ride; while noticeable, will be less than jarring. Nothing like stock at all. While you're at it, pop on a set of MM caster camber plates. You'll thank me later.
