You get exactly what you pay for, sometimes just a bit less. Spend the money for the good stuff the first time.
I've spent more than 14K on suspension to get where it's at now and nothing in the world compares to what you get when you flop down the visa and do it really nice. I've had all the lowering springs and fancy whizbang billet this and that's and what it's come down to is they all suck inversely in proportion to the suggested retail cost. The only way I got the handling and durability I wanted was to go all the way and get the Max Grip box from Maximum Motorsports. Tubular control arms suited for my needs and correctly bushed, 4 wheel bilstein coil over with spring rates and heights selected specially for my use case, a panhard bar and torque arm and tuned rear sway bar changed an ill handling sled into a hot running corner carver on par with european sports coupes costing 3 times as much. You probably won't be as demanding as I am of my suspension but spending properly the first time will cut your long term cost substantially and provide superior performance. |

You paid 14k for the max grip or is that a typo cause it lists for just over 4k

no, I've had 14k in suspension by the time I picked up the max grip and had it installed.
That includes both mustangs, from bone stock through all their iterations and the cost of installation. some of the parts I've used include: steeda springs & STB, tokico illuminas, MM SFB's, griggs in-floor SFB's, eibach sway bars, IRS conversion, 03 cobra springs, C springs, B springs, bilsteins, MM full coil over, major repairs/rework to the IRS (weak POS), full MM IRS goodies, 98 cobra axle swap, MM PHB&TA, MM std SFB, and oodles more |

griggs is another top pick of mine. i like MM for the street better as griggs parts seem a little lightly built for rough pothole filled roads. Griggs are usually a tad lighter so they're better many times on the track, and they're really oriented that way.

Good deal. You'll be shocked at how different your car feels when that is installed. Bolt and weld the panhard. I have bent bolts sitting in my garage from a bolt-in only install on a pals car. Mine is welded and holding well to much stouter punishment than he ever doled out.
Congrats. |
