http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-B...32954180QQrdZ1 but put that motor in a 92-95 h/b with a few boltons and hello 13s |
Put gears in a mustang, hello low-mid 13s. 13s with a good driver from the showroom floor.
lol |
ha ha ha....good question...I was actually thinking of doing an engine swap.....you know, cause that honda vtech engine is much stronger than the engine in my mach...ha ha ha......actually, the real answer is I typed in DOHC and that's the first thing that popped up.

vtec is where the valves are in a "v" formation... but really... every 16 valved 4 cyl is a v tech cause there is no way to fit the four valves unless they are slanted...
vtec means ****... its a stcker that costs an extra $1000 |

vtec means ****... its a stcker that costs an extra $1000 lol, nobody would give a **** about vtec if it were just a sticker. and not every 16v 4cyl is a vtec. and look at the spelling VTEC, not v tech. it's not some new V technology. it's an acronym. variable timing electronic control. actually it's "Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control". taken from another site - VTEC (which stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is an electronic and mechanical system in some Honda engines that allows the engine to effectively have multiple camshafts. As the engine moves into different rpm ranges, the engine's computer can activate alternate lobes on the camshaft and change the cam's timing. In this way, the engine gets the best features of low-speed and high-speed camshafts in the same engine. |

lol 2. very true but... 1000.00 for a h/b and then that motor and then a $400 worth of bolt- ons hello 13s just not to many ricers are about that they would rather have the 19s and big mouth body kit and the 79thousand inch exhaust:loser: 3.how much are gears since im not up to date on mustangs parts and prices |

Bottom Line. Some people think that VTEC is like nitrous. Those guys are tools. The reason why people dont put hella money into most ricers is because....whats the point? All that money and still all you have is a 200hp honda. Yea it may run 13s but thats just because they are like 1000+ pounds lighter than a mustang. Those cars dont have any kind of top end unless its got a big turbo on it. I raced a guy that prolly had 7 grand in his VTEC. I destroyed it and all I have is like maybe 1500 dollars worth of mods. The fart can sound is gay. Especially with Honda engines. It gets annoying. Front Wheel Drive sucks also. Cant launch worth beans. Just all in all Honda sucks and VTEC is gay. |

You guys crack me up.
V-TEC basically means they have variable cams. That is, the Cam has a second set of lobes and when there is enough oil pressure, the cam moves so that the larger lobes produce a different lift/duration. The reason they do this is because it allows you to have low end torque but high end HP. Honda patented the technology so until a few years ago, they were the only ones with variable timing cams. Since the patent expired, every other company has them INCLUDING Ford. The guy who said it's because the valves are on a slant is clueless. For the record, the 2005 Mustang GT has variable timing cams (or Ford's version of V-TEC). So get used to it. It's not just a ricer thing for tiny torque-less engines anymore so get used to it. |
