Gears

Which ones should I get?

madmatt 09-01-2005 06:59 PM

1.63's. Youll go 400 mph with the stock engine.

WaterDR 09-01-2005 07:12 PM

Do I need any special grease with that? How much to install? Could I get 24's for those gears?

Blue02GT 09-01-2005 08:02 PM

I would suggest 6.30's. You will be unbeatable in the 50 yard dash.

Sprinkle some of your special water on it.

Lightning247 09-01-2005 10:57 PM

Don't forget to grease your muffler bearings.

Check the spec. readout on the Reverse rotator splint on the rotary...girder. :D

I always just stage back in the burnout box, and punch it on the first yellow. :D

Blake, don't get gears, you can change the size of the wheels instead for the same effect. I recommend 4" lawnmower wheels. As an added bonus, since you'll have to remove your brakes for them to fit, you save some weight too!

Just take a pic of Dean's...his may LOOK like a full size Mustang, but it's actually scaled down to Garden Gnome size.

ShakerScoops 09-02-2005 09:48 PM

OK new wheels installed. Took it to the track afterwards and running 8.94 1/4 mile now. Little trouble hooking up so I ordered 8 inch lowering springs to see if that will help.
