Dug up this old thread http://mustangboards.com/lounge/1799...tangs-com.html and it really made me realize that thanks to comments like you guys made, it made me work harder on my site.

Greg, Jack, and Zig are cool in my book now but damn....goes to show how putting someone down and their idea can usually fuel the fire.

Since the hate thread against my site started:

Site is now backed by 2 major sponsors: American Muscle and Dallas Mustang. Both of them gave us a total of $1200 for a magazine ad.

Raised $1600 from donations to pay for a full page ad coming out in MM&FF next month.

Merged with Black Mustang Club on Mustang events

Having our first Mustang event in May in Georgia and have members driving from as far as Dallas and New Jersey.

Google SilverMustangs.com now and see what happens

Look at our member map

Invited to a be a partner for Super Stang Fest

Actually recognized by large Mustang companies now

Members cars being featured on covers of MM&FF or features in other magazines.

Branched out to members from Puerto Rico all the way to The Netherlands and Germany

Not a HUGE amount of members compared to MB but 350 forum members for a site just for silver owners is pretty dang good in my book.

234 Registered mustangs in the Silver Registry

Average 10-15 new members a week since the new forum went up and website was redesigned.

Again...thanks to those that made fun of me and thanks to those that supported me (Venom, Todd). I actually found that old thread through a google search yesterday and it really got me thinking and made me realize how much harder you made me work at this.

So thank you.

And for the bashers...what have you accomplished since then?

All I did is laugh about the BIO....obviously the site is completely different now. Congrats on a successful site, but again I didn't bash the site or say it would fail....just thought the BIO was funny at the time.

I'm happy the website worked out for slither. I like slither and didn't realize he had beef with me because I LOL at the bio on his website, but I had to control my typing when I saw the comment about "what have you acclomplished since then". Again slither I like you, and you created a really cool and successful website, but don't act like you ended poverty or cured aids with the "what have you accomplished since then" junk.

For the past 8 years I've worked as a legislative policy aide at the state and local level developing and working on policy that effects hundreds of thousands of people in a positive way. I volunteer at the homeless shelter on occasion, I recently got married and purchased a brand new home. So besides sitting on your butt and creating a website about silver mustangs what have you done since then?

I'm not trying to start stuff with slither, but that little comment at the end kinda got under my skin a bit. Slither's a cool dude. I have no beef....he may not feel that way, but this is smack talk.

lol waow. never chirped you but hey. since 2006, i ended up playing semi pro basketball in europe, was featured in several tv shows as a model, hooked up with a model girlfriend, ended up buying my second 2 mustangs and then im here at a mustang board now
