i was gonna throw this in the cali thread but rumor has it that would be considered hijackin a post so i gave it its own .... heres an amazing sentence i just read on the cnn site....not sayin theres anything wrong with it...just find it interestin

"The United States is becoming a Hispanic nation. Hispanics are the nation's largest minority with 44.3 million people and they account for almost half the growth in the U.S. population. yea, thanks to all of the damn hispanic illegals. now dont get me wrong, i am in no means a racist, but there is a big problem with boarder control. the illegal immigrants come here, drop a few babies that are immediately considered american cause they were born on America soil, so that gives the illegal aliens the opportunity to stay. it is actually really rediclous that they expect some sort of benefits though they are not legal residents of the united states.

i have no problem with some immigrants getting working grants to come to america and work to earn money, then be taken back to their home country, we are aware of their presents and can monitor them, but the illegals are just slipping by.

i work at wegmans food markets and we have some hispanic workers that can only say please and thank you. sometimes they have their children, who are my age (19) work there and be their translator between the managers and other workers. like i rang out a mother and daughter and the daughter told her mother the amount that she owed in spanish. it just pisses me off that they want to live here but they dont learn the language either

I dont know how you guys feel, but this is only my opinion, and its not a racist bias, because im not racist what so ever, i have plenty of hispanic friends (and other cultures: Russian, Asian, african) but somethings just set me off about these topics.

i agree with ya bro! it's like me moving to mexico, japan, or france and expecting them to all learn english. they'd tell me to go F myself. and it's not a racist thing at all, it's just a natural thing, hey if i go to china, i best learn chinese.

one of my best friend mom is Korean and she learned english before she came over a lil, and she got help with the language after she moved her. her dialect is still pretty bad, but she is able to make complete sentences, with a lil help every once and a while. but if she was put into a professional world, she wouldnt need a translator. she learned the language of the majority of this country, WHICH IS ENGLISH. lol.

see, it's a matter of being lazy or not, wanting to learn or not. she, apparently, wanted to learn, and put forth an effort to learn english. it really gets to me when you see a "foreigner" at work, you ask them a simple question, and get the typical "no hablo inglis" answer. (i'd type another languages answer in there but all i know is a lil espanol) lol. but yea, ya'll get the point!

It's kind of weird going into Walmart or Home Depot and seeing all of the signs with spanish translations under them..

yup, it pisses me off when i see simple signs in spanish. directions for like electronics (tv's, computer, etc) are ok cause they can get confusing sometimes, but signs like "Now on Sale!" in spanish underneath the words in smaller letters is ridiculous.

ahhhhh i cant stop myself......the countrys gonna look like the munchkin land soon if all those illegal mexicans keep multiplying....on the plus side....we're probably gonna have the nicest grass and the cleanest cars in all the world...............ok sorry ...i got it out of my system now

i understand the grass sayin that alot of latino's are in the landscaping biz, but cars? i dont let anyone touch my car. lol so i dont really understand where your going with that

havent been to a hand carwash in new york lately have ya? all mexican and they do a great job...noone touches my 06 gt either but i have a few other cars i take to the carwash

nope, tho i have been to NY recently. lol, i wash both of my cars unless i take the stang to get a full detail cause i dont have the means (porter cable) to do so yet, and being a future college student, money is tight and performance comes first. lol

We have so many damn mexican immigrants here in colorado, and dude, yeah, sorry, but no thanks. Most of the immigrants have no ass, no waist, they look like a freakin sausage. They pop out a few babies and then they look like the freakin stay-puff marshmellowman
