V8 in a Honda..
Thats not a v8...just two B20 engines superglued together to look like a V8 with ITB's... lol
V8 and Honda dont go together hence I shal not clicky the linky
There was a Honda that swapped a Porsche V8 into their car. In fact, it was a younger kid. Got pulled over by the police for going 120mph. The cops wanted to know how he was goiing so fast and saw he had a Porsche engine. Made the papers, true story.

Well, there goes the one argument ricers use against domestics "Atleast we don't need 8 cylinders to make our cars go anywhere"
Honda's dont need a v8 to go fast. A very close friend of mine has a GSR swapped civic HB w/ a t77 turbo trapping 150+ in the 1/4...all that out of a 1.8 4cyl and stock 5spd tranny.
Yea and slap the same turbo on a v8 and you have an even faster car, and it will sound a hell of alot better.
it sucks. ;x
Yea slap that same turbo on a v8...which weight twice as much and you have a good race. 800+ hp in a 2000lb honda vs. 800+hp in a mustang at 3400lbs....power to weight comes in an sadly that import is going to be a tough opponet. With that size turbo...you will still hear nothing but spoolin and yea it will sound nasty on any car import or not...still sounds like a jet taking off!

I just dont buy a Mustang only pulling 570hp out of a turbo with a V8 when some 2.2l inline 4 banger pulling 670hp out of the same turbo. dollar for dollar yer gonna generally get more performance out of a V8 than an inline 4banger. Show me a production 4cyl car that can keep up with a stock 99-04 GT. they CANT, not without the turbos and shit. Sure, the V8 is heavier, but it will pull more power out of the turbo/sc |

argument is irrelevant. lol |
a stock honda that will keep up with a stock gt...easy the 2007 civic SI will run side by side if not beat one. Same goes for a s2000..they run right beside a stock mustang.
The dollar for dollar deal...your generally gonna get more out of the honda since parts are cheaper. Turbo for a 4cyl is usually $1200-$3000, where as a v8 kit run's normally $4k+. So you spend all the money beefing up the stock GT engine and turn around and spend the same amount in the honda which weighs less...your gonna get more out of the honda. My boy's 800+whp civic has about $8k in it...thats including slicks/rims/rollcage/and the $3k turbo! people will argue all day long about 4cyl turbo vs. v8's. Once you've built a 4 banger thats making too much power for the street on a low budget you would see that the lil 4banger isnt something to over look. Dont get me wrong i've been in a friends 5.80 1/8 mile drag mustang...it's sick, but then my boy and i took out his 800hp civic runing 6.20's in the 1/8 and the honda felt twice as fast even while spinning up to 120mph! But hey, i love mustangs but i got my thing for building honda's and other imports still so i'll always argue with the honda's not being fast. |

How about a v-8 in a volvo? ha ha
I'm feelin the vovlo!! Not something you would expect to see done. I cant wait to post pics of my '96 eclipse/331 turboed beast as soon as it is finished. I'm welding in the plates to mount the engine and tranny tonight hopefully.
