You want to know how I chose the winner? I went through every submission and picked the 10 I liked best. Now I was completely upfront when I told you all that it was a tough decision to make. How is it not "sticking to my guns" for asking my coworkers -- who know me well enough to know what I'll be happy with for a long period of time -- to help me make my decision?

They voted, I took the top three. The winner had the most votes. You had the second most. You're still getting a prize, so I don't understand why you feel the need to continuously pick at this like a scab. Not only do you make me feel like shit about this whole thing, but you make me look like an asshole to everyone else.

This is my JOB. It is not a game and it's not a joke. I get paid to make sure you guys are happy. When all you -- and that's a collective you -- do is complain about stuff, it makes me look bad.

I looked forward to coming here before, and helping you guys and doing something nice for you all. You -- and everyone else that has complained or will complain -- have made me dread coming to this board.

So, thanks, really, for making this part of my job less fun than it should be.

And you're absolutely right! The winner would have been someone different, but it still wouldn't have been you or slither. I don't say that to be mean. The reason I put it up to vote was because I didn't know if I could professionally get away with using the one I wanted to use.

I was screwed from the beginning on this one: no matter what I chose, I was gonna get crapped on.

I understand that you spent a lot of time on this, and I appreciate it. I can see why you feel cheated. But you're not walking away empty-handed. Try to be a little less vocal about being upset, and try to be grateful that I'm even doing this. All it does is get everyone else fired up, and it goes down hill from there.
