I figured out why xlr8r is so hatin; he's canadian. They kicked him out of canada for buyin a made car, so he moved to an igloo in alaska. Since all you have is exhaust on you're car, i doubt it would take much for a v6 to put you in . BTW, did you pay 4500 us dollars or 4500 euros. (4500 euros=5555.56 us dollars) ha ha. I defend the v6 even though i do give my brother crap cuz he has a v6 mustang

I've gone heads up against my brothers 97 sixer with my 94 gt (both stock); yeah, my car was definitely faster, but not by a whole lot. V6 mustangs can still get up and go. With a good exhaust on, they can even sound pretty mean. Unless its an eight inch fart tube; if you do that then youre just a bag of douche. But then again, id rather have an eight inch cock than a six inch, no matter how fast the six inch can go. lol

I have an 04 GT. i love it, and no, i would never buy a V6. However, to sit there and call people stupid for modifying a V6 because that is what they have, well, that just shows me yer an ignorant ****tard who really just needs to shut the hell up. Nobody cares if you think it is a waste of time to modify a v6. But before you talk too much shit there is a guy on this forum board with a V6 pushing over 600 rwhp. And why buy a GT? Why not save up for a cobra? why not save up for a mach 1? Why not get a 89 5.0 and drop a 468hp 351w crate engine with a tko 600 and a better rear end with a total cost of 9k? including car? That makes a hell of a lot more sence than wasting time on a v6/Gt/Mach1/Cobra. Faster car for a helluvalot less. the point is this, if somone got a v6 and they want to make it faster, let em do so, and quit being an arrogant **** because you have a GT. Nobody wants to hear your stupid argument. A LOT of us have GT's. As for why buying a V6, there are a lot of younger people here who cant afford the insurance on a GT, maybe they dont have mommy and daddy to pay all thier insurance needs. This is a good forum board, you are more than welcome but there are a lot of great people on here with V6 Mustangs, yer not gonna find many friends here with that shit talkin attitude. ![]() Thats all i have to say. uhhh dude...have you seen how much shit costs in california? You're LUCKY to find a GT with low miles for 22k here... shits expensive buddy...i mean..in alaska its freezing balls and i'm sure everyone there is driving around a 4x4 ect...
And yea, I'm one of the guys that falls into the younger person category...2600 bucks a month on insurance and 384 a month on a car payment... As far as you talking mad shit about a v6 though.. it wouldn't fly around here...theres a club i hang out with...15-20 stangs out... 2 Cham Cobras, some other Cobras ranging in the production year, a few machs, and alot of GTs. The two sixers in the club, are me and a buddy, and we still get a assload of respect..because yes, our sixers got balls. Now that everyone just bashed the hell out of you, you aren't talking as much shit about the sixes then what you started out doing.. and if you are getting pissed about something revving on you..you are retarded...its all fun and games..unless you're at the track and doing it for some money. ;/ |

you have absolutely no idea what you are talkin about... no clue at all... Before you start a debate... try to educate yourself... In no way are OHC engines better then OHV... they are two completely different engine... and frankly, its extremely difficult to compare them... Just to let ya know pal... Its much cheaper to modify a OHV then a OHC... throw your silly pushrod valve wear ideas out the window... you can make 10x the power in a carb'd OHV then a new edge Modular engine... and pushrods are not expensive... Just think... NASCAR and Funny car racing use the old carb'd engines... As far as one being more effient then the other... well the day I see a mod motor with 500,000 miles on it... then maybe... fact is These Mod motors are some top notch engines... but the technology is more expensive and they have more downfalls then then pushrod motors... And the '96 281SOHC was in no way an upgrade from the '95 302OHV... well unless the goal is to go slower... Now the v6s aren't by no means quick... but they can go fast cheaper and easier then the OHC'd V8s... and like I said before... v8s and v6s are also hard to compare... Do you go to autozone everyday and start stupid arguement like this with the 4 bangers? And just to let you know... some people cant afford a V8 mustang... so what? they shouldn't waste their money personalizing it? You and yer V8 can modify your car but little johnny who is new to the automotive world and wants to take a wack at playing around with his car shouldn't? And somepeople perfer the V6. They like to be different... or like to blow away cars like yours... or don't care for shitty MPG, dont need alot of horse... Whatever their reasons... You are seriously gonna tell them they are wasting their money? Really... get yer ****in head out of the sand... Ok, you are looking at this V6/V8 situation all wrong. Yes you have a GT which in your opinion is better then a V6, yes IN YOUR OPINION. Now, you don't diss people because they have a V6, ok. You praise them because they bought a mustang, as in they could of purchased something else. But if it's a V6 they possess they are very well entitled to be called a mustang owner, just like you are.
If a V8 Camaro or Firebird pulls up to you and challenges you to a race... and you win - doesn't matter if your sporting a V6 with mods or a V8... the result is STILL the same. Now it has been proven that V6's can sport some high horsepower with proper mods, so can V8's. What you need to do is realize this and stop looking down on V6's and look at them as your fellow mustang owner's. Because if you own a mustang (v6 or v8 or w/e) you are part of the mustang family. |

This might be one of the dumbest threads ever! There is nothing wrong with
v6 mustangs. It gives people an opportunity to have a mustang who don't want a v-8. Saves them on insurance and gas while having the style they like. I actually look at it this way....by ford producing v6's it allows me to have my mach 1 because without the success of the v6, my car wouldn't have been produced. You should look it it that way also. I'm also assuming that if Ford doesn't start picking up in sales and making some money some of the future special edition stang project will be killed!

i own an I6 and i have to disagree with everything that moron said
V6 and even I6 mustangs can both be made fast very fast and ford used to use a V6 in the Busch Series in NASCAR back in the 90's and the reason they dont use V6's in NHRA and the likes is cause most of the class's mandate them to use certain sized V8's now idiot STFU |
