I just bought a car at Riverhead Ford on Long Island. It's a pre-owned mustang. Anyway, the person who owned the car b4 me put in an aftermarket stereo and speakers. Well she put in tweeter speakers at least. And they were there when I test drove the car, they were there when I signed the paperwork, and then they send the car to get preped I pick it up the next day and I'm at the gas station right next to my house filling up the tank and admiring my new car when I notice the speakers are GONE AND THERE'S GAPING HOLES IN THE DOORS OF MY CAR!!!! So, I drove back up there but my sales guy had left and the stupid girl at the desk wouldn't let me speak to anyone only leave a message for the guy. I'm going back up there tomorrow... and this time I'm gunna scream bloody murder if they don't solve something. Can u believe that?!!?!?!?!?! the B*****ds :censored: stole my speakers!!!!!!!!! Hell, they prob stole the reg speakers too, but I wouldn't really be able to tell... they sound like ****, but I didn't really listen to the stereo too much when I was trying it out so I don't remember if the main speakers where **** b4 or not. Can u believe that they would have the nerve to take off the speakers and leave HOLES IN MY DOORS!!!!!!!!! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo angry!:bash:

Definately would be shocked too. It sounds like you have/had the Mach 460 system. I don't know why anyone would swap out that system, it sounds bad ass already!

I forgot that I had to get to work early today... and then I had to drive my mom somewhere b/c she left her car in queens. Anyway, when all was said and done I had 10 min to change my clothes and eat something b4 having to rush off to work. I did call a bunch of times and got no where. Then I after doing the run around on the phone I finally got a sales manager who was like "oh, I'll look into this and get back to u." It's really starting to piss me off. I signed the paper and bought the car with everything it had in it. Not I bought the car and gave them the right to rip whatever the hell they felt like out of it while preping it. As far as I'm concerned this is theft. I'm going up there tomorrow after work. They can either A. find my speakers or B. put new door panels on my car the DON'T have holes in them. If they fail to do one of the two I am seriously considering reporting a theft. This is a bunch of BS, and not only should it not happen, but it shouldn't be tollerated and I sure as hell am not going to.

Take the car back to the dealer. You have 6 days by law to change your mind and they have to take the car back. Also, by law, the car must have everything on it that it did when you looked at it unless they specified otherwise. Lastly, what did the window sticker say when you bought it? Many dealers put a detailed window sticker on used cars. If it listed this stereo as an option they are screwed.

I bought my GT used and the fog lights did not work. Why? Because some azz clown that owened it before me installed an alarm and screwed up the wiring. BUT the sticker said "fog lights on it". The dealer would not fix it, so I took it to Ford and they charged me $200. I gave teh bill to the dealer where I bought and they had no other choice but to pay for it. They did not even argue as they quickly recognized that I knew what I was talking about.

It lists CD player, but not this specific one.... it also lists cruise control which I DON'T have. I don't want to give the car up though.... I just want to cover the stupid f****ing holes in the door.

I have the sticker still too.... if it comes down to it.... I'll pull that out and mention it.....so if I bring it to a stereo place to get them put back in, I can give ford the bill for that? I'll get nicer ones then.... lolololol.

I would say if it lists it on the sticker, that is the key. The cruise control is also an issue that you should definately mention. It will give you leverage even if you don't care about it.

So, They wouldn't replace the missing tweeters, but they did say they would replace the panels if I don't buy new speakers.... I almost feel like making them replace them weather or not I actually do.... just for a little F-You satisfaction.

update: I still have holes in the panels of my door. The man supposidly ordered them last monday, and I went back on monday, but he was conviently not in. Then I went back today and once again he was conviently not in. I want to blow up the c*nt receptionist!.My sales guy was there however and he asked me what's wrong.... geeee I didn't only leave you about 50 million messages the first 2 days there was a problem. So anyway, he brought me back to the sales guy and let them know what was up. In anycase, more things have come up besides no speakers/cruise control. like my service engine soon light came on and as far as I could see there isn't a sperate check engine light like on some fords. and my spare key doesn't work. I left my keys in bf's car and when I woke up the next morning to go to work I realized it, but was like "oh well, that's what the spare is for...."..... little did I know I would have to find a ride to work as well as a ride home..... so anyway, told them all this. They took it in, to fix the problems. but I am once agan carless... however, i'm not that stupid... i took the sticker out of the car and brought it with me. they can't "loose" it on me.... so i still have proof of no cruise control.... however i've gone beyond flaming mad... i'm somehow very calm... which.... isn't exactly a good thing. when u go so far into an emtion u can no longer feel any emotion. To top this off, I got a letter from ford yesterday "it's time for your 30,000 mile service. bring it in to riverhead ford and we'll......" how dare they! I would rather gauge my eyes out with a toothpick than give them any more of my money!

oh, and to finish off my crappy past week+ I got another speeding ticket(82 in 55 with supporting dep) and my desktop crapped out on me, which is the comp with the internet and I don't have enough money(due to paying lawyer for said ticket) to get a. comp fixed or b. wireless router to use my laptop. and since I have a pc desktop and mac laptop I have to get a certain router that cost about twice what a normal one does. GRRRRRRRRRR!:censored: :foot: :censored: :foot:

wow, i'm sry to hear all that, sounds like another ****ty week... well did you make sure when you tested the Cruise control u were in OD/ or your foot was completely off the clutch?...

Sry bout the ticket, it's a new fact of owning a Mustang, you get profiled like hell... last time i got a ticket i was going 40 in a 35, which he said was a 30 and UPPED my speed 5... THEN he even mentioned that YES he DID see that the white truck next to me had PASSED me goin atleast 50... ****IN dickheads... but yeah sry to hear everything will balance itself out,

you may end up getting MORE from the dealer then they promised you... have u thought about going up there with someone else with you... cuz again i'm feelin the whole lil guy talkin down to the girl...

no there is NO cruise control. as in... there aren't EVEN buttons! I've never owned a ford b4... or a car with cruise control to think of it... and I was so excited about the whole thing I didn't realize till I got home when I started trying to figure out where everthing was(headlight, trunk button, CRUISE CONTROL etc... all diff from my asian cars). as for getting some else to go with me, that's not really a possiblity. I'm on my own for pretty much everything. I can find rides most of the time if I need them(car breaks down or in shop for something) but anything beyond that is my life, my decisions, and I do it all myself. I'm used to it though, even men talking down to me. Hell, my boss treats me like an incompetant idiot even though I'm prob one of the top 5 employees he has, and he employs about 200 or so ppl. although... i guess in some ways I think he may be slightly right... after all... I choose to work there didn't I... and only an idiot would do that! lol.

I just want them to fix the problems.... I want to have the car that I bought. nothing more and nothing less... and I don't really think that's too much to ask. it would be nice if they at least put the pedals I bought on the car, I haven't had time to do it and they're sitting on the floor of the car right in plain view....

as for tix... my town is weird when it comes to cops giving tix... in the summer there are nothing but expensive sporty cars.... so they don't really profile tooooo badly, not saying that they don't do it. which is why i'm always more into performance than anything. I'd rather have a car that can beat ur ass than one that just looks like it could... lol.

anothing thing to add to the list... my mother has called me at least 3 times today... she calls me EVERY day now. I don't know why after so many years of not even talking to me when i lived with her, and than calling me once a year when I moved out(did this a couple times... first time I was 11... lol) she suddenly thinks she's supermom and is so right and there for me and my best friend... I want to be like "go away! u have ur life, and I was never part of it! so just leave me alone!"... she gives me anxiety attacks... it's really bad... I keep asking myself when she's going to move back to texas... then maybe she'll put this whole notion of being mrs. perfect mom out of her head. It only started when she moved to queens....

well i guess having to write a 4 page paper looks alot better after hearing all that...sry to hear bout all that though, maybe ur bf can go with you and help handle the guyz from Riverhead... I'm almost positive they're just pullin **** over you cuz they know they can... don't play nice and go up there and raise hell, call them out on everything and you will get what your due... if anything don't act nice about anything and put pressure on them...if they say the guy isn't in, ask when he will be and WAIT there for him... you still have 30 days to return the car correct? what did it say on your contract? i thought it was 2 weeks or something... so yeah just woop their ass and take names...

well the thing is I dont have time to wait. I go to school full time and work 45-50 hrs a week. not trying to be a whinny baby about it. just stating the facts. right now i'm actually bsing online only b/c I have no car and i'm waiting for a ride home to change than work instead of doing one of the countless things I should be. my life is very strickly scheduled. everything is timed. I know precisely when and where I will be at any given time. in fact, I have to schedule in sleep/eating time... and if I don't.... ooops. My bf is scheduled into my week, my riding lessons, my job, school, house things... I'm one of those people who u never see home... except at odd hours of the night b/c i'm always on the go... and I only stop at ford when I can... and it's never for very long(and yes I schedule that in too!) lol. and my free time is normally when my bf has work... and he's in management at the hospital so he can't really leave. I mean he can b/c he sets his own hours, but he really does have to be there to make sure things are going smoothly....

no way would they give you 30 days to return the car.. by law you have like 3 days (buyers remorse) to get out of any contract. but this is way past 3 days. the most i can see them doing is fixing the car, i dont think they would fix the holes in the doors because you bought it "as is" but if the paper says you have cruise control then they have to either put cruise control on the car or give you the money for it. my guess is they'd put it in for you. good luck either way.

well they already said that they would replace the pannels... of course I should have had that written down.... in anycase... does anyone know the name of the law that states everything on the sticker has to be in the car? it's nice to quotes things like that.... i'll also print it out and bring it in. And, I'll also thinking about telling them if they don't fix things they have to take the car back or else i'll go to the better buisness beaureu(how do u spell that), as well as get them on false advertisment.

I keep asking myself when she's going to move back to texas... then maybe she'll put this whole notion of being mrs. perfect mom out of her head. And, I'll also thinking about telling them if they don't fix things they have to take the car back or else i'll go to the better buisness beaureu(how do u spell that), as well as get them on false advertisment. __________________ :stupid:
