200sx

Ok....so there's this guy at my school who had a 200sx. I kind of raced him a couple days ago, like a 3rd - 4th run...and I beat him, but he kind of kept up...but now, he walks around the school like he's the baddest fastest 2 fast 2 furious racer ever....

it was suprisingly quick..but now he walks around talking about how he kept up with a mustang or almost beat me or my mustang isnt that fast

and now he's always talking about how all he has to do is turbo his car and he'll beat me  what a tool

by the way, he has a kid ROFL he knocked up some girl last year and she just had the baby...

whats the point of this thread? who knows..I just felt like makin it

Lances03SVT 03-01-2006 07:54 PM

And the point of this is.......I had a kid when I was 19 and my wife just had turned 18. I'd like to know what's so "ROFL" about this? I'll be married 7 years this july with 3 kids and on my second new house and 2 cars I can't complain about...does having a kid that early mean bad things? Doesn't look like it!

Let me guess, the only reason I can think that someone would walk around acting all bad because they kept up with you is because the someone in the yellow mustang thought they were the shiznit of the school with their car in the first place?

Race him for titles........If you win, you'll take the money and "the respect".....

Just to play devils advocate here, would you say your experience and achievements in life while having a kid at 19 are the norm? Or would you say you have done a better job meeting those challanges than others in a similar situation?

You have obviously overcome lots of additional difficulties and challanges at having a child at that young of an age and that is pretty awesome.

Not a lot of people presented with the additional challanges of fatherhood when they themselves are still a child manage as well as you did...... Odds are definatly against this kid being able to provide his child with the opportunities that you have given yours.

Nobody says it means anything bad, but it is far easier to establish yourself in life then have a child and give them the world, than it is to have a child before you have managed to secure a steady respectable income and career.

Oh, It was hard as ****, and I wouldn't say its the norm. Too many kids today are taking advantage of the easy way out (abortion), I didn't think about that for one single second when my wife told me she was pregnant. Also, I do know several guys that had kids early and were pussies and didn't step up to be a father to the kid, they just ran away pissed off at the girl and the baby. I would just tell them it takes 2 to tango and they can't put ANY blame on the baby itself! I guess him just laughing at the fact that someone having a kid early is what set me off. But all in all, I would say that having a kid that early actually saved my life.

Pre-kid I was partying in college, joined a fraternity and staying drunk 90% of the time. I had a 1.6gpa. The summer after my freshman year is when we found out she was pregnant and I dropped out of that college and went full time at my job. The following Fall I started taking night classes at a local community college and finished up graduating with a 3.94.

SO, yeah I would say it opened my eyes to reality that she had a baby, and I had to over come a whole lotta **** to finish school and provide for a family at the same time! Because, when we first found out she was pregnant I was making $8.00 part time, and didn't get a raise when I went full time. But, I knew I had to take responsibility for what I did and I think I have, and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

Honestly in my situation, I don't know if it would have been better for me to have a kid later in life. I honestly don't think I ever would have graduated at the pace I was going, but at the same time, I felt like the world's biggest loser because I had to live wih my dad for about the first 6 months of my marriage until I could afford to get a house! BUt, today is a whole new story, I got the car I always wanted (well one of them, THE car is a 63 Split window vette...but anyway) nice family, hot wife and a nice house!

I'm actually thinking about going into a career change here soon, thinking about Real Estate....just something new to do and see where I can go with that.
