i want to get my windows tinted, but the lowest legal tint here in NC is 35% which really isnt even worth doing, although i see people around here all the time with window tints ALOT lower than that, i was just wondering about how much cops usually enforce the laws and what you have to do about it when you get your car inspected

As far as tint goes, they can not get you for tint when you get your inspection. That is not on there list.

I personally have 20 on the back window and rear quarter panels.
35 on the driver side passenger side and front window.

Dont go any lower than 35 on the front window, it gets hard to see at night and in the rain at night.

I personally am adding more tint to the rest of the windows, just want it a tad darker, and i have yet to be pulled over for it, even when I cruise the oceanfront here. That is the best way to get pulled over for traffic violations, but yet to be pulled.

i got limo tints in the back and small quarter windows and 20% on the side windows. i like them. and you should get 20% window tints, because 20% you can still see through it, cops will only pull you over if you have Limo tints on your side windows, like so dark that they cant even see inside your car. so dont worry about it, just dont go any lower then 20% all around

the back 3 windows 5% and the driver passenger side windows 15 or 20%.
