Default Bullitt/Mach sail panels?

Hey guys, I am looking to get a set of Bullitt or Mach 1 sail panels and quarter glass at a decent price. I checked with MPS auto but it doesn't look like they have any. I appreciate any help.

If you look through the for sale threads at SVTP, Corral, or similar you can normally find a set after a while. Might take a few weeks or a month or so but I've seen them fairly often. I paid $250 for mine Panels and glass, I had to get them repainted. Very good mod IMO. It's not something everyone notices or knows is different, but it makes the car looks great.

Man I forgot you had them. They don't stand out enough in your sig Thanks for the advice.

Were they difficult to install? Oh and I have a guy that will paint them for next to nothing. I would like to do them and the Bullitt scoop deletes around the same time.

They wern't hard to install, but it took some time due to all of the parts you have to remove to be able to remove and install the glass and panels. Probably took me around three hours. I had to buy a T50 Torx bit for the rear seatbelt bolt, and some windshield sealant which is nearly $20 alone.

The panel that goes around the quarter glass and the glass itself was different on the 01 Bullitts and 03-04 Mach 1. For it to look right you have to replace the glass and the sail panel. It's a subtle mod that I'm a big fan of and it really looks good combined with the Bullit side scoop delete's.

Notice the quarter window and scoops on the Bullitt and compare them to that of a regular GT.

Subtle but cool . In the pictures above the hood scoop on the bullitt looks like it has no insert but in the GT you can see the plastic bit. Do bullitts have them or has that one been removed? I like the scoop without .

yes! DEATH to all fake mustang scoops! The stock GT sidescoops are hideous. More like saddle bags than anything. If the scoop isnt functional, it shouldn't be on the vehicle.

There were two different hood scoop styles for the GT, but wasn't Bullitt or GT specific. I think somewhere on the 2002 or 2003 models they used the larger scoop like the top one. My stock hood doesn't have the plastic insert and it is and '03. I could be wrong, I'll try to find some facts on it.

I'm still confused, I think. :/
So the Mach 1 and Bullitt's have a bigger rear side windows than the others?

Yeah I agree and like the side scopps on the new edge mustangs are a waste.

There not bigger really. It's just the Mach and Bullitt don't conceal as much of the the glass. The inner curvature goes further back than on the GT. The only difference in the glass is the "blackout material" will follow what curvature the original sail panel has.

This is a GT panel and the red line represents the different curvature of the Mach and Bullitt panel

Not the closest pic but here you can see the owner installed the Bullitt sail panel and scoop delete but didn't change the stock glass.

I wasn't meaning bigger as in like BIG, just a little bigger.
So what's the point of doing this mod? Lol

Edit:
I just looked at my car and it seems that mine already has the bigger ones.

It's really just an appearance mod but it should SLIGHTLY reduce the blind spot too. I don't know if you responded before I edited but check out the Silver GT I posted a pic of. That's the look I'm after.

Never really thought about it but fake side scoops are kinda vagina-ish.

You still have the 95 right? The 94-98 cars had a panel that's VERY similar to the Mach/Bullitt panels but there not exact. If they were I'd just snag a pair of them

Oh yeah I didn't see that. Should post one just like that, but of one that doesn't have those mods.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of the scoops being deleted. :/ Would have been cool if they weren't fake. haha

Oh and the trim panel inside the car lines up better for the Mach/Bullitt panels also for some reason.

The Mach 1/ Bullitt sail panels are what the 99-04 Mustangs should have came with from the factory. If you look at the lines everything just matches up better. The angle of the mach/bullitt panels match the side scoop angle.

Got mine on SVTP and got the glass on eBay. You definitely need to get the glass. The dot matrix is all wrong and looks like poo even with tint.

I love your car. I picked up a set of NOS Bullitt Scoops so I need to find the sail panels, glass, and side skirts. The side skirts might be nearly impossible to find

Yes sir. and later I'm either going with a cowl hood or a Mach 1 hood. So I won't have any fake scoops.

You guys are just so keyute! lol

Only reason why the scoop went on my car is because I got sick of the shitty job that Zig's boys did on filling the holes from the old scoop. The body filler was literally recessing back into the holes and cracking the paint on the hood.

There is a new hood in my cars future and no fake scoops.

It's just bolted to the hood. I'll let you know when the time comes.

**** that sucks. I was just planning to fill the holes from my spoiler with body filler but I don't want to do that if it won't last. I wonder if the fiberglass reinforced fillers are any better?

Oh and thanks for the compliment bud but sorry bud I'm married

Damn, These were a PITA to install. there is a little screw hiding in the weather stripping that gave me fits.

For you guys that have them, are they supposed to cover the same amount of space as the stock v6/GT panels? Mine are about 1 inch narrower which left some unfinished paint showing.
