i was driving at 2 in the moring yesterday for some reason doin 70 and hit a pregnant racoon. i know nobody likes my body kit but damn it sucks now that i gotta pay to fix it. on top of that i had just finished my new mods. I make it a rule anytime i get a visual mod i wont instal it until i have performance mod to go with it, so it wont turn into a rice machine. ive had street glow for a long time but never installed them. i finally got enough to afford a borla exhaust so i installed the exhaust and street glow that night. i finished installing at midnight and ruined the car at 2. ugh. anyway its getting fixed now, but im moving on to the next step, rims and tires. having a 3 tone car makes it difficult to select rims, and i have no idea what to do. if you have a suggestion let me know.

Your car still looks like a ricer. Waiting to put on neons until you put on an exhaust system does not keep you from being a ricer.

You could have twice the horsepower you do now, but if your car still looks like it does then it'll still be a ricer to me. I understand wanting to be different, but sometimes its too much.

I think your car looks good. Except for the new bumper mod and the red lights. At least you had the ***** to not blend in with everybody else. It is your car so **** 'em. Since you've got the "Eleanor" hood, maybe that style wheel painted black instead of grey would suit you.

now, a good driver, whether they have a car that likes to slide in the rain or not, should know his or her limitations and be able to compensate for their car, standard transmission or not. maybe you should've gotten some decent tires before the awesome bodykit.

 

A ricer is someone who spends more money on tasteless visual mods (ie: bodykits, neon) than performance mods. And ricer owners usually are stuck up wannabe punks who can't type and use text-lingo (ie: "b4") to sound badass and tell people that they don't "give a damn" what people think of their ride, yet makes sure to include pictures in most of the threads that they have started on forums because they secretly like to know what others think (don't worry, I won't tell).

Anyway, the fact of the matter is that your car is rice. And you are a douche. But why did I type that, I should know better since you don't give a d4mn.

 

If you put Nitto Invos on that car, you are even more of an idiot than I thought.

Invos are for road racing, not for street use. Nor should you spend almost $300 a tire for street tires. NT555s are the highest end tire you should buy for the street, period.

Buying NT555Rs or Invos would be a ******* joke showing how much of a tool you may or may not be. They're not for the street.

There. Question answered. And I do know the definition of a ricer. Just because you have an american made car does not keep you from being a ricer. The bodykit and neon both make you a ricer because your car has neither the power nor ***** to back it up.

And You can drive on Nitto555R's daily they are totally fine in the rain. I did it for 3 years. They are street tires after all.

 

08mustang_gt: Nitto Invos are not competition tires. They are very good street tires. And to tell someone that putting a good set of street tires on his car shows that he is even more of a tool, really shows how mis-informed you are. I think that if he was to put a set of Invos on his car that it would be in a step in the right direction from the monstrosity he has created. I plan to put a set of Nitto NT-05s on my car next spring, does that make me a jackass? I just don't agree with your statement on tires.

Stang Kang: I beleive your car is rice and that is pretty much going to be the general opinion of it, atleast around here. I can appreciate differences in opinion of what looks good. But my opinion is that it just doesn't look good and the underglow and all that just doesn't help it any.

Yea the neon was a bit much imo, but i do like your car. I know everyone says performance before apearance but its whatever you wanna do, i think it looks good so far bsides the neon. And yeah some of you guys need to chill the hell out

 

Female racoons are massive. I've seen some that are the size of medium sized dogs. Doesn't surprise me at all that it caused that kind of damage.

Stang Kang, are you going to get another bumper or are you going to try to get a body shop to fix it for you? That really sucks, man. Good luck getting it fixed.

About the wheels, I say with your car, chrome or all black would fit it best. You should lower it while you're at it.

Last but not least, if you don't have HID's, they might help you out a lot while driving at night. Dustin (spike_africa) has a website that sells HID's. http://spikemotoring.com/
I live out in the boonies, too, so I know how you feel. Having HID's won't necessarily prevent these kind of accidents, but they can help by giving you better visibility in order to avoid them.

 

I hit a raccoon a long time ago with my V6 with the Cobra R bumper, scooped that sucker right up into the radiator. Cracked the entire bottom of the bumper off.

 

im buying a new bumper. Poly Urethane this time. hopefully this will at least provide some protection if this happens again. The lighting really had nothing to do with it because it came out while i was rounding a corner, but i appreciate the info anyways because HID lights are on the list for future modifications.

I dont know why everyone thinks i dont put out power under the hood either. i curently put 450hp out. Its not spectacular but its enough for now. Im also now completely done visually not counting the wheels. i have also created a checklist and to achieve much higher horse power, i just do not have the money. The price of all my visual mods are lower than the prices of all my performance mods, so my performance definately takes precedence. i just want it to turn heads to, for better or worse, so chill the hell out lol (thats another ricer acronym for u King). Im paying my own way through college at texas A&M so i just dont have the money right now to pool all my funds into making my car perform better. so lay off the hate crimes 4 realz (there it is again King)

 

OKAY,, well even though i left the comment about urethane,, im not sure how much better it will be... i hit a dumb *** dog tonight.. AND my car looks pretty rough, and like all mustangs my model, it popped the tabs that hold it on so im forced to get a bumper... ill post pics later in the pics forum. I had a urethane OEM bumper.

Does Missouri have racoons? Most likely, most of the U.S. does I believe. Racoons, NOT TINY. Have you seen those ******* in person? I have and they are comparable to a medium sized dog. Let alone a pregnant one.

As for the tire comment. My point got skewed a bit an thats my fault. People who put NT555Rs, or Invos, or NT05/04s on a car that NEVER sees the track or even needs the traction to hold it is a waste of money.

I have been in TT Cobras with 295/315 NT05s and it could not catch traction from a third gear pull on the interstate. Now that car needed the traction.

A "lightly modded" GT does not need Invos. Not unless its being taken to the track. Even tiredepot's website says that Nitto Invos don't have the tread wear to be good street tires and should only be bought if they're being used for track/street use and don't have the money to buy track specific tires.

Now unless you have yet to tell us about your track experiences I feel that you would be wasting your money.

That's just the way I see it. If I buy a set of tires it has to be a mix between good traction and good tire wear. I could use a set of Invos too, then I'd hook out of first gear no problem, but its just not ideal.

I don't mean to come off as bitchy person, but living in a town where everyone thinks their stock Honda Accord can take down a modded GTO or GT it gets ******* annoying.

There is always something faster that you think looks better, but its all about what you want it to be.

So in my case I apologize for being te h8terrz. Just watch them damn racoons.
