Lightbulb Cobra Bumpers do or dont?

Ok so I found a guy locally that has 94-98 Cobra front and rear bumper(covers) that are brand spanking new. He is asking $500 and I checked blueovalindustries and they are about $550+ a boat load of shipping. I'm thinking I want to make the conversion and do a 96-98 cobra hood afterwards on my forest green GT vert.

Opinions?

Im not really a fan of the 94-98 cobra body, really.
I'd get a 99-04 cobra front, with the 94-98 cobra rear, and termi hood.. that'd look pretty neat IMO.

+1 on the '03-'04 Cobra front! But on your model year I'm not too sure...

Doesnt Venom have the 03-04 front bumper?

Anyways... back on track. Get the front bumper if its a deal! But the rear bumper... dont bother if it says COBRA on the back. Unless you plan on swapping the motor or bumping up the performance up to Cobra standards, dont "pose" as a cobra with that type of badging.

Thats what i would do if i was in your shoes. Front bumper is a good idea!

There is no real point on the rear bumper, not much of a difference there, plus you'll have to spend money shaving the letters unless it's an older version that just says "Mustang".

'03/04 Cobra bumpers look STUPID on pre-new edge SN95's. Period. Venom put it on his car because he needed better air flow to his intercooler. He chose Performance > Looks.

Even if it is photoshopped, there are people with the terminator bumpers on sn-95s.

It could be. Looks odd around the fender.
But it does give an idea of what it would look like. And I have seen a couple sn95's with those bumpers before in an old thread on here somewhere.

Front bumper go for it, but the rear I would not bother with. And do a different hood then the cobra hood. You should lower that ***** first though.

ya i see your point in not doing the rear unless it could dominate a cobra or stay with them. it would just be the same with "Cobra" instead of "Mustang GT."

and once again just some everyone knows and will remember.
I WILL NOT LOWER UNTIL I GET A DD. FOR NOW THIS IS MY DD IN MICHIGAN..

YES that means it sees snow but it still looks damn good imo.

I like the front bumper and think its more functional due to the big opening in the front compared to other bumpers out there. Only issue is that the material is advertised as ureathane but its no where as fleible as the factory bumpers like a n sn95 cobra. The sides where it meets fendor is thicker than factory as well. The front does still real low so if your car is dropped real low it may be something to consider. I dont have a daily driver so none of these issues concern me.

I'd do it. Body work is very personal and if you like it, do it. Don't pay attention to opinions if it makes you happy to do so.

I prefer the cobra front, the rear... meh. The hoods on the pre-99 snakes looked badass IMO.

Unfortunately not. Every single example given looks like crap. Putting a bumper on a car that it wasn't made for is junk unless you do the work and make it fit like it really should. (ie: molding the front sides inward where they meet the fenders.) The sides of the bumper stick out about 1/2" on either side of the fender and doesn't even come close to matching up at all.

In the thread that Venom made a while back most people agreed that the 03 cobra looks good on the pre 99s you are entitled to your opinion but don't expect everyone to agree with you

the 99+ are all edges and the 03-04 cobra bumper is more rounded it looks great on them don't get me wrong but the rounded bumber looks good on the earlier sn95s I don't see how you can say that it doesn't look better than stock or even the cobra front bumper but if thats the way you feel thats fine

but this looks awesome way better than stock or the sn95 cobra

i agree with the 03-04 bumper on the 94-98 body style. i like it a lot better than the stock cobra for 94-98. even though it is suppose to go on a "new edge" with straight lines it still is curvy and rounded. i think it looks good. i don't think there is any reason to buy a rear cobra bumper because unless it is a real cobra it should not say "cobra" and if it is an older one that says "mustang" is there really much difference in the way it looks?

well now i put the seller on hold because of this new edge cobra talk.

ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET THEM? I'm pretty sure my headlights won't fit on a regular 03/04 front.

ok so for right now I bought the cobra front and fogs BUT

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET THE 03/04 COBRA FRONT? I'm pretty sure my headlights won't fit on a regular 03/04 front.

I sorta like the way people have it above. But I have no clue where to get those.

You're crazy.... Anyway.. You can get the '03/04 bumper all over the place, eBay is usually the best place to start. It will run you about $300 for the bumper itself plus about $150~ for the Chin spoiler + bezels and then you'll need to get the fog lamps as well which will run you about $100~.

If you can find someone trying to part one out or something along those lines you could snag up a deal, but those are typically few & far between.

I'm not sure if you understand. The 03 cobra bumper does not fit sn95 94-98. If you want one Like I have and ones above you have to buy a custom made one that has been made specifically made to fit our years, which means you can retain all lights. A stock 03 cobra bumper will not fit.

The stock bumpers do need work done to fit even close to "right."

You can get the "custom made" covers @ www.ABCExclusive.com ...
