Black Mustang Lemans Stripes QUESTION
Hello everyone,
I purchased the Black Mustang Lemans Stripes- 12inch from AM. I drive a 2006 GT Tungsten Gray with 18inch chrome wheels. Can I have some instructions on the best way to apply these. I read the instructions from AM and just getting a second opinion just in case 1. Should I use windex or soap mixed with water? 2. Should I use a 1", 1.5" or 2" inch gap in the center? What is the typical... also I don't want these to look like every other striped mustang 3. Any other suggestions or tips Down the road I'm interested in purchasing Reverse C Style Sidestripes with the GT emblem cutout. I believe this might make it look nice and sleek. Thanks everyone |
Umm idk what mine are in between I can tell you in the morning. Also anything other than what mine are spaced out at looks really weird.
Too far and it looks off for sure. Too close and it seems like it's one stripe. Ford spent a lot of time designing the stripes that come factory and the spacing in between....I think they actually did something right for once. |
Mine
Mine are 2 inches and they look great! not to far and not to close. As far as standing out from the rest i can't really help you there, the side stripes you are thinking about would be the best way to stand out. This is what mine looks like, this was right after they were done so some old pictures.

Thanks
What is the width of those stripes. They look like 8". Mine are 12" and with a 2" gap it would make it 26 inches wide total. Did you use windex or soap?

I like them when they have the pinstripe on the outside and inside of them

Mine are 8inch but honestly the 12inch with the two inch gap will still look just as good! I did not install these myself, but the man who did it told me he used a soap mixture. I think thats the way to go because so far i haven't had any air bubbles or problems!
