Default cleaning aluminum wheels.

i just got rid of the 20's. thats my big surprise, i cant get any pics up for awhile sadly. But i traded straight to 18x9,10 saleens some guy had on his ranger. But the reason i think he traded was mainly because the wheels were neglected, ran thru the winter and probable never even washed the salt off of them. Thankfully they are aluminum wheels and ive been shining on them for 3 hours and i brought a good lot of the shine back. Ive been using mother mag and aluminum polish and scrubbing till i cant. Is there a better easier way to clean these wheels? Powerball etc? Lemme know guys.

Yea, pics would help. I dunno how bad they are, but if they are clearcoated, you shouldn't use the Meguires, Mothers, etc. polish, unless it says they are safe for coated wheels.

If they are bad enough that the clear needs to come off, it can be a bitch getting it all off. POR-15 makes an awesome clear coat specifically for alumin / mag wheels.

well ive been polishing on them alot, but the damage was from winter weather. they was almost yellowed kinda n stuff, but i got them looking okay. i dont like em to shine tho, ive started using my dads coal truck aluminum cleaner for clear coat and it dulls em up but makes em clean and it looks really sporty.
