Caring for convertible top
Hey fellas,
I was wondering if there were any specifics I need to know about caring for a convertible top, as far as cleaning, sealing, ect... I know that tops wear out if not cared for so I want to do as much as possible now to make it last... This is my first convertible so I'm pretty much at square one. I frequent autogeek but I figured I'd ask here for input as well... Thanks in advance... -X BTW here are a few photos... :) 7k miles! http://adpdm.images.dmotorworks.com/...10887_1_lg.jpg http://adpdm.images.dmotorworks.com/...10887_2_lg.jpg http://adpdm.images.dmotorworks.com/...10887_5_lg.jpg |

Neither was I until I saw it in person.... It isn't as red as you'd think... The only thing red are the seats and the door panels...

great looking vert man!
Everybody has always recommended RaggTopp Products to me; I have yet to buy them but I plan to along with this "back to black" dye to just keep my top extra black. http://autogeek.net/ravicotopca.html http://autogeek.net/convertible-top-dye.html I usually just soak my top completely, then use a very soft tire brush(that I don't use on tires) to scrub the top and help loosen any dirt in it, then just "flood" it to rinse all the dirt out. Works pretty well for me, but I need to get those top care products to help protect my top from the sun. |
