You won't find a buffer with the capability of the PC for $50.. Sorry, just not gonna happen.

And those guys are some of the smartest I've ever seen. I especially like how he sprayed so much that it ran down the side of the car.

It's an investment in your car.. If you learn how to use it correctly it will keep your car looking showroom for a long, long time. I guess I just have slightly different priorities, plus I have two cars of my own plus my fiances to keep clean & looking good as well as cleaning my dad's cars every once in a while. I wouldn't know what to do without my PC anymore..

I guess when you consider that the average good detail is approaching $100 or more, much more in some cases.. You should ask 03gtmustang how much he charges to detail cars.. You'd probably be sick to your stomach.

Take a look at this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LSle_WgexQ

thats gotta be a crappy detail for that kind of money. here is an example of the work we do: complete detail (every square inch inside and out) $239 on a car. 7-10 HOURS on that car. I don't know what crappy job people are getting for $100

A polish.

I just made a purchase on autogeek.net today. Finally got a PC. Got the same starter kit that WN posted with all the pads, pad cleaner/conditioner, and I bought

Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover
Pinnacle Advanced Polish

and I already have Pinnacle Souveran wax.

Been doing it all by hand and i just cant get the swirls completely gone. I figure it'll pay for itself once i detail a few peoples cars.

I second Spikes suggestion. Rubbing compounds are what you'd use for heavy oxidation, dull paint, or scratches...and theres alot of different grades of abrasives.

Yea i know theres different grades, and i was gunna use the rubbing compound for like, some scratches and etc. I believe the grade ofit is like 39002, or thats just a random number. Tried to get someone to help at autozone but noone would. Is it that same as this? http://www.autogeek.net/megscratxfin.html

no its not the same at all, take that crap back you don't need it. I would take back the quick detailer and get their new version in the black bottle. Its much better then the original one in the red bottle that you have.

Aside from the fact that you work for a company who charges markup, as well as other fees.

Rubbing compound isn't what you're going to want.

And yea, the quick detailer in the black bottle is pretty good...

Also, the liquid wax stuff is pretty decent if you can find some..

Meguiars has good products, but their main problem lands sqarely on the longevity of the product itself. With just about any over the counter wax you're looking at having to re-apply within 3 months or so, that obviously depends heavily on where you store your car and the normal climate for your area... Some of the Megs professional series (cream colored bottles) do last longer, but you'll pay about the same for them as you would a true professional wax or polish from Autogeek, Autopia, etc..

I do use the Megs quick detail spray (black bottles) from time to time, but I'll probably be switching to Poorboys or DP when I run out of it.

Only reason i can afford my car is cause first, its paid off! Second, its insured in my dads name as a luxury car so the rates r awsome. Oughta see if you can get your dad to get your car insured in his name, then you pay him for insurance. Saves **** ton of money.

oh no i was talking about liquid waxes period. not megs. Personally, I don't use meguiars products minus the quick detailer stuff..

Everything else I get from autogeek or my fiances dad (who is a small time maker of washes/waxes) but i get them for free, and they are decent products. lol.
