Black Euro Tail light Condensation
I just ordered a set of black Euro tail lights for my V6, and I am having trouble with water condensation in my passenger side tail light...BAD. I installed these a couple weeks ago and have had no problems up until just a few days ago, naturally..after a rainy day, and through the car wash. Now almost the whole tail light is fogged up on the inside - not good for the bulbs! I know the website recommends sealing them with RTV sealant to prevent this, which I bought specifically for... but I don't understand. If I do seal them, how is that going to work if I decide to switch back to my regular tail lights again? Isn't this the same as "gluing" them on?....
Can somebody please give me some instruction on this? I'm confused. Thanks! |

Thanks! http://www.americanmuscle.com/mustan...ing-video.html If those dont help, id recomend pulling off the light completely and pulling out the bulbs and just letting it dry in the sun a day or two if possible, then putting it back together and silicone sealing the outside edges and around the base of the bulbs. |
It is not like gluing them onto your car when you seal them. You seal the taillight housing along its seams where air or moisture might get in.
Just as a heads up... you will be changing back to your factory ones very quickly if you cave in to pressure. |
