Should I get a yellow mustang?

I have the opportunity to buy a 2002 gt, thats yellow. Everyone around me shuns me for even being interested in a yellow mustang, but theyre old as hell. Of course I would add black - mach 1 chin spoiler, shaker hood scoop with the black thing around it, black bumper inserts, black rocker stripes. Just like a yellow mach 1. What do you all think?

Switch 02-22-2009 05:55 PM

Do it

PColav6 02-22-2009 06:05 PM

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing you'll get about 10-15 if you put a functional shaker hood on.

Screaming yellow is the only yellow worth getting.

dingchavez65 02-22-2009 06:22 PM

=( i dont think ford even came out with screaming yellow until like 04 or 05.

King 02-22-2009 06:28 PM

If you can post pictures of the car, maybe my opinion could be swayed. Not a lot of zinc yellow stangs look good though...ask anyone, they generally suck.

PistonsFan102 02-22-2009 06:32 PM

Get the car if you want it.

Do NOT buy the shaker if you are looking to add power.

And what is wrong with your car/

Do it. Yellow is da bomb.

Black Sunshine 02-23-2009 09:04 AM

Man, I love yellow. Black was my first choice, yellow was my second. Yellow with black accents = droolworthy.

Yellow with black = sexy

Black with yellow = ugly

Funny how that works.

Funny how black with yellow accents would look bad though.

Me too! I had nothing at all at 16 years old. At 17, I had a beat up fox body that wouldn't impress anyone and now... i have an ugly slowstang with a chewed up front bumper and foggy headlights. I can't wait till I get out of college and can afford something half-decent.

Haha, my first mustang was my '93 Fox when I was 18. I still have it. It is an uglier even slower stang with a chewed up and paint chipped front bumper and foggy headlights with some rust around the moon roof that doesn't even work, the a/c and heater doesn't work, the power door locks don't work, and it has a few dents and dings in the body and has algae growing on it because I never wash it. But, it has a pretty bad-ass aftermarket stereo in it! :)

Over the time I daily drove my '93 (2004-2008) before it stranded me in a parking lot and I had enough of it being a pain in the ass, I finally said 'enough is enough and I'm tired of having a car that breaks down on me', I had saved enough to be able to afford my '05 and I couldn't be happier. It was definitely worth the wait. :D

Haha yeah, that's exactly what I'm hoping for. I could buy a 2004/2005 GT right now and afford the car payments, but if I wait another year or two, I'll be able to afford the 2011 one. I think it'll be worth the wait.
