Default Cleaning up headlights my "How to thread"

So the g/f just got an 2000 focus for a car replacement as her 94 rodeo split the cylinder wall. Any way it was a steal at $2,900 with only 84k so we jumped on it. The really major flaw was the headlights so here is what i just did to clean them up.

Step one: wet sand with 800grit sand paper using soap and water mixture as lubricant.

Step two: clean head light with water, and then wet sand with 1500 grit sand paper using water/soap mixture.

Step three: clean again with water and use 2000grit on the head lights with soap/water mixture.

Step four: used Poorboys SSR2 to polish out the scratches in the lights.

Step five: used Poorboys Polish with carnuba to finish off the small marks and polish them out.

Thats it and took me only about 30 mins to do both sides taking my time and playing with my dogs too.

Here is a pic with left side done and right not done. The G/F was happy to say the least, and the pics suck they dont show good they look. The sun makes the one i finished look hazy still and its not its clear. Ill grab more when she gets back later on.

looks great. I'm assuming the upper part of the left light is just sun reflection but overall thats a great improvement. Can't believe any light even went though that right headlight haha

Yeah the lightning was poor to say the least for these shots. This is a better one. Just figured i would show you guys cause i know alot of the older stangs have this problem too.

Here is a pic i just took. 100% better, you couldnt really see out of them before at night thats why i did this to it right away after we got the car. They were really bad. Plus it made the car look bad too.
