ALARM

I changed the face plate on my 01 GT..The little red light that flashes when the alarm is on is connected to the cover of the gauges..I had to cut the wires to get the cover out of the way..I reconnected the wires after i got everything done,now the alarm dont work....Any ideas on this would be great...
