Brake Dust
Does anyone know of any product that really helps fight brake dust? I swear I clean/polish my wheels every two days. They never stay clean!
|
are your brake pads still good? maybe thats ware all the dust is coming from.

If it bothers you alot change pads. I use the Satisfied Brakes "pro ceramic" pads all around and they bite harder then stock, fade less, and dust half what the stockers do. Over all good way to fix that and get better stopping power.

Put some sealant on there to protect them. If they are clear coated, then you shouldnt be polishing them.

I have no idea if they are clear coated. They are the 17x9 03 chrome cobras at AM. I have just been using some Mothers Chrome Wheel Polish.
But i had that dust issue when i had the stock wheels on too. Argh. |
Is it just your front rims? I had what sounds like the same problem. Check your calipers. Make sure all the pistons are functioning properly.

Brake dust is normal on any car. Try using your brakes less frequently :D. Dont stop at the last minute.

They are probably coated and you shouldnt be using that stuff. Does the applicator pad turn black when you rub the polish in?
