Amp Install Questions
 

I have already bought my amp, sub, and amp wires. My aftermarket stereo is already installed and I was wondering: Is there anything I should know before beginning the installation? My brother is gonna do it for me, and has done other cars also. And he asked me to find out whether there would be any complications or if I would need any special tools to install my sound system in my 2000 Ford Mustang? Thanks people, much appreciated. :)

nope, if he's experienced it should be a walk in the park for him. biggest problem would be wire routing,and that's not too difficult.

Well, he's done about 3 or 4 cars, but never a ford. and it'll most likely take him a while, but he does it for free so I don't mind the time. as long as there aren't any further problems its all good

yea shouldn't take him more then a couple hrs w/the right tools/supply's.

so it should be like installation on any other car right?

because when we installed the stereo, it took us a while because we didn't know that it came with a factory amp and were somewhat confused because we had purchased a wiring harness for a stereo w/o the factory amp.

i would think so.

installation is easy, just make sure you hide the wires well and don't use electrical tape as connectors... cake

all that and you dont need to touch the Amp with any metal at any time...fords are some of the simple cars..
