Default Aftermarket Stereo Question

I just bought a Pioneer 6900UB, and was wondering if I needed a Dash Kit for my 2000 Ford Mustang, it does not come equipped with a Mach Stereo. I was looking around and found Dash Kits for Mustangs 2001-2004, and years previous to that excluding 2000. So, my question is, does the 2001-2004 Dash kit work for the 2000 ford mustang also? Thanks for your input

Go to circuit city and ask them, they were awesome helping me with my system. I have a 2000 also. They pulled out the stock radio and the seperate cd player down below the radio...i have an aftermarket stereo and a gauge cluster where the old cd player was. Much better look, but the "aftermarket" stereo fits in perfect. I have a Pioneer also.
